Such an amazing time. We grew up north of the TC, but both of my brothers and I are exploring types, so we ended up scattered across the globe. The oldest is an international reporter for a major news outlet, so unfortunately he couldn't make it. My younger brother and I flew in and had such a quintessential MN time it sort of seems like a fairy tale--snow falling, super genuinely kind people going out of their way to escort us to the stadium, the post game celebrations like the line of US Bank workers who were giving high fives to people in the halls on their way out of the stadium, many of us with tears in our eyes, to the long embraces with total strangers all night across the city-- it was all a HUGE reminder that I absolutely LOVE MN and the people of that great state.

Complete euphoria. This team has something special going on. Buckle up!

LOL! I know, I reacted almost the same way too. I leapt out of my seat, yelled "Holy Sh*t!" (which was basically a reflex) and then was basically Everson Griffin in that interview after the game—flabbergasted, unable to fully process what just happened and really happy!

They do. I'm glad you had such a perfect trip.

Even here in Chicago, I think people sense there's something special about this Vikings team. I have a Vikings leather jacket (I've been wearing it for years) and over the past few weeks, everywhere I go people are wishing me good luck, telling me they think (or hope) the Vikings will win it all, etc. It's all very genuine. Yesterday, I was cleaning snow off my car and an SUV stopped in the street alongside me. The driver rolled down the window, leaned out and asked me if I was still on Cloud 9 after Sunday's game. He was all smiles, congratulated me on the Vikes win, said the Vikings were due for a win like that and said he hopes the Vikes win it all.

It's all very friendly and it adds to the fun. I can only imagine the kind of camaraderie being felt in Minnesota right now!

I was there as well... and I'm still at a loss for words of that whole end of the game.
Such a rollercoaster of emotions in the last 3 minutes. Everybody is talking about the amazing finish, and duly so, but those last 3 minutes, jeeeeeeebus!

First the NO touchdown with 3 minutes to go and them taking a 1 point lead. People around me were starting to feel the despair setting in and preparing for another horrible playoff loss.
Then we came back with a FG attempt to take the lead again, and with the last playoff game fresh in mind, a lot of people could simply not watch the kick. But Forbath made it and hope set in again, because we do have an excellent defense.
NO started walking down the field until the defense held them to a 4th and 10(I think it was)... NO of course went for it and got the gut-wrenching completion and also got into field goal range, and eventually made the FG.

At that point most people around me seemed to have given up.

Then came the pass... holy moly. I remember screaming "get out of bounds" but Diggs got up on his feet and into the endzone. The rest is a blur.
People screaming, cheering, crying, hugging strangers, going absolutely bananas.
I can't describe it better. There isn't words for this, not yet, maybe not ever. :govikes:

An extra little anecdote.
The season ticket holders sitting to my right is a lovely couple from Texas. Diehard Vikings fans.
Mrs Texas was nervous before the game and asked me why I wasn't nervous and I simply replied: "Because, we got this".
After the NO TD at the three minute mark she turned to me and asked "We got this?". "Yes", I replied, and she looked at me with disbelief.
When we got the FG to take the lead again she looked at me like I was crazy.
And sometime after the winning TD she simply turned to me and said "You were right".

Jim, if anyone in the world can understand what we're going through, it's people from Chicago. That is, Cub fans.

Very cool that so many are behind us.

Truly AMAZING! This makes up for Gary Anderson, 2009, and Blair Walsh... but it's all for naught if we don't beat Philly and win this all out!

Sox fans understand too. They had a LONG wait until winning the World Series in 2005. I've found fans of both teams sympathetic to our situation. That said, Bears fans tend to be a good bunch and most of them are football fans, not just Bears fans, so they appreciate a good team like the Vikes. Plus, we share a mutual dislike of the Packers. ;)

I IS cool. I think the 2017 Vikes are a good story, as you've been pointing out. They're easy to root for even if you aren't a Vikes fan!

Honest question. Can anything be better than this game? This win? I can't imagine it. If winning a SB will truly feel better than this, I don't think my brain could handle it.

Winning a Super Bowl would be better.

You'd best be under medical supervision.

Lots of great video clips floating around. Here's another good one with Everson on the sideline as the play happens and all the vikings players start going crazy. Linval is such a beast and actually lifts Everson up off the ground.

Don't know if it was posted already, but I guess peoples apple watches were warning them of a possible heart condition alert due to their heart rate jumping at the end of the game.
