Here we are.
3 games stand between glory or infamy.

There are 17 (Now only 11 after wild-card weekend) possible ultimate outcomes: (values in green are the percentage chance I give for the option to come true [probabilities are from 1/7/2018])

Lose to Saints (divisional/NFCC) 48%
Lose to Panthers (divisional/NFCC) Panthers eliminated
Lose to Rams (divisional) Rams eliminated
Lose to Falcons (NFCC) 29%
Lose to Eagles (NFCC) 8%
Lose to Patriots (SB) 7%
Lose to Steelers (SB) 5%
Beat Steelers (SB) 2%
Beat Patriots (SB) 1%
Beat Jaguars (SB) <1%
Beat Chiefs (SB) Chiefs Eliminated
Lose to Jaguars (SB) <1%
Beat Bills (SB) Bills Eliminated
Beat Titans (SB) <0.1%
Lose to Chiefs (SB) Chiefs Eliminated
Lose to Titans (SB) <0.001%
Lose to Bills (SB) Bills Eliminated

What do you think will be the outcome?
(I lumped together lose/beat to JAX,KC,BUF,TEN since its so unlikely)

I voted beat Patriots SB

I think the coaching and experience
and the fact the Steelers play down to
weaker teams all season will bite them
in the butt.

Wow, I can't believe the opportunity we have right now...

We may see the scenario where we have an opportunity to avenge not 1 but 2 of our most bitter losses over the last 20 years.

The Saints come to town in a week, and the following week could very well have the Falcons coming to Minnesota.

What an amazing opportunity to get revenge for '09 & '98 on our way home to the superbowl....

#BELIEVE

I don't think I can allow myself to be open to this possibility.

My dream scenario is redemption against Saints next wk for the abberation of 09.. then erase the letdown of 98.. then either get revenge on the Steelers for crushing my dreams as a kid or beating the Almighty Belicheat and Tom Shady and get us OUR Rings and Trophy. I really don't care what AFC team we beat for it.. just as long as we can FINALLY get it. I can't even imagine the elation and realization of a life long dream coming to fruition.. but I gotta admit this is the most hopeful I've been yet. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go get it all Vikes.

I agree with this. I can remember '98 and '09, and would love revenge there, but I wasn't alive in the '70s to remember the Steelers. So me personally, if we make the Super Bowl, I'd love to face the Patriots and have a crack at the best team of the current generation.

Revenge is equivalence for me, so beating the Saints in the divisional round at home would not equal an away loss in the NFC Championship game. To the degree a victory removes any chance of the Saints winning the Superbowl this year, it is revenge, but I don't think too many Saints fans, or NFL fans in general, really view this year's Saints team as special or Superbowl-bound like most viewed the 2009 Vikings team. They are a very good team, and certainly capable of getting to and winning a Superbowl I suppose, but I don't think most consider them particularly special.

Beating the Falcons at home in the Championship game would avenge 1998. That would be equivalent in my view.

Beating the Steelers in the Superbowl would be equivalent as well.
