Bears 0-3 on 3rd down. If the Vikings defense plays lights out today, they could be getting close to being one of those historic defenseses (Stat wise) I believe. Maybe top 5?dead_poet wrote:Good stuff. Punt.
What is the best ever 3rd down defense?808vikingsfan wrote: Bears 0-3 on 3rd down. If the Vikings defense plays lights out today, they could be getting close to being one of those historic defenseses (Stat wise) I believe. Maybe top 5?
The great defenses of the recent past have been dominant on third downs, but not as dominating as the Vikings. The 2000 Baltimore Ravens went down as the most dominating defense of its decade and the Ravens’ third-down defense in its Super Bowl-winning season was at 34.1 percent.
The 2013 Seattle Seahawks were viewed as the most dominating defense since the 2000 Ravens and their third-down conversion rate that year was 35.2 percent. The 2015 Denver Broncos won a Super Bowl on the backs of the defense and their third-down rate was 34.4 percent.
Not sure. 2000 Ravens was at 34.1.PurpleMustReign wrote:What is the best ever 3rd down defense?
