When did this "have an offensive lineman or two push the running back down the field on every play start"? This is nuts.

That's exactly why the catch in the endzone is so aggravating, you touch the ball into the endzone as a runner and it's a td instantly in a millisecond. As a WR, you have to have it for muultiple seconds including hitting the ground

OK, why should that be a TD and Thielen's catch not be a TD?

Explain to me how the RB doesn't have to control the ball all the way down but the WR does.

Especially given that Thielen did control it to the ground in bounds. The ball only bobbled a little when he was out of bounds.

If the ground helps him control it, maybe that isn't a catch, but he had control all the time when he was in bounds.
