I'd rather go with the rookie and sign Heineke as a backup.

Doesn't matter how good Rodgers is on the run, when you have both tackles out, you get lit up by Beasley like he just did. Ted Thompson must not know how to draft OL because they have no depth behind those two  sound familiar? Because that's what Spielman was accused of last season. Either way, I love watching the packers struggle

I'd sign Vick before Kaepernick.

Kaepernick is a quarterback who requires a certain type of offense, like Seattle's or Carolina's, to thrive.

He's not an accurate passer.

He can't read defenses. If his first option isn't open, he panics and runs. The NFL figured this out pretty quickly.

He's lost in the pocket.

He's afraid to throw deep.

But he is fast.

Is Jeff George still available?

Keenum was way too jumpy and would not step up in the pocket. Not sure you can coach that out of him at this point. He was overthrowing receivers all day. Our defense was OK considering how much time they had to be on the field due to the offense having 3-and-outs. Not sure why we had all the mental mistakes. Those penalties were killer. I don't think Keenum is capable of winning on the road.

And fwiw, I don't believe that Teddy will be able to play this year, especially by week 7. If Bradford is out, it will have to be Keenum or Sloter.

so i asked on the 'bradford knee' thread....if bradford is really hurt and looks to miss significant time.....do you sign kaepernick
The question is what will that achieve? If Bradford is out significantly this season he is not a long-term (or even short-term) solution at QB. Bridgewater is just question marks currently so the only actual fit QBs are Keenum and Sloter. Throw Kap in there if you want but neither Keenum or Kap are going on a deep playoff run with this team. If that's the position we're in i'd rather go 4-12 and draft a QB high than scratch together a 7-9, achieve nothing and not have a shot at a QB in the draft.

Fingers crossed Bradford improves this week, feels ominous that there wasn't an 'event' that caused it though and seems to just be wear and tear after one game

Was Treadwell in because he and Keenum have some chemistry playing with the #2s or is he finally going to get some quality playing time?

Love the way Cook runs.

I'm not very disappointed in the loss. It would have been nice to steal a win today but at least this loss in against the AFC. I'd sit Bradford next week too. They're going to need him in weeks 4-6 (DET,CHI,GB).

Average teams look good at home against bad teams and look bad on the road against good teams

Pretty much sums it up for me

I fully expected the loss but what I found frustrating was the undisciplined play and stupid mistakes. They just didn't look prepared and that points to coaching

And seriously this could be the worst ST I've seen. Illegal formation on FG defense ?? Seriously ? How does that even happen in the NFL? And Jet , please just kneel!!! It's painful watching him take it 9 yards deep out to the 15 time and time again. Just brutal

And I really really hope Brock can pick up the defense quickly. Watching Trae'bust getting burned is getting old quickly
