Saintsreport.com:
I'm liking the Coleman in the slot vs Mackenzie at nickel. We will probably have better than expected success running the ball than passing against them. Pretty sure they ranked lower than us in run defense the last few years.

I think you hit on something I've definitely considered lately with the Play Action. I think the Vikings D will bite on that early and often. My prediction for the first play of the game is a PA slant with AD in the backfield to throw them off. Everyone will expect Peterson to get a look early which makes it a perfect setup for the play action.

Our defensive coaches are salivating! Look for stunts and a variety of blitz schemes. Bradford's head will be on a swivel. I believe the Saints will have a combined 10+ QB hurries & sacks in this game.

The other real question is whether the Vikings defense is all that great anymore. They fell off a cliff at times in the 2nd half of last season and looked like garbage in the preseason. We'll see.

Saints 31-13

I got us 28-13. This wait til Monday is killing me

42-13 Saints!!!

i really believe that our defense is going to have a field day against their patchwork O-line leading great field position and a huge time of possession advantage for us. Also a statement win. Saints 34 Vikings 17

I don't believe in much, but I do believe in the Saints defense. 42-17 Saints With 5 sacks and an Int by a linebacker.

Great D vs Great Saints O. Push
Improved but average Saints D vs bad O. Advantage Saints.
Special teams. Gasp. Advantage Saints.
24-14 Saints.

I just want to wake up Tuesday morning above .500 for the first time in years. Saints 27-17

blackandgold.com:
I predict we limit them to 80yds rushing and 260yds passing. Give up 2 TDs and 2 FGs. We win 23-20 on a balanced attack and despite a *gasp* Adrian Peterson fumble.

They have a horrible OLine. We limit mistakes and avoid turnovers and win

I wasn't feeling great about it until I saw our defense this preseason. Our O-Line will have their hands full with Everson Griffen and Danielle Hunter plus their secondary is great so I think we'll struggle a little at first offensively. However, if our defense can rattle Bradford I know we can score more points.

Saints 13 Vikings 18. Brees throws a pick 6.

Saints 27-3 our defense is for real!

Man, i so hope what AD said turns into an awesome story for the year: It starts in Minnesota and it will end in Minnesota.
reddit.com:
All I know is the Saints eat on prime time while the Vikings choke on prime time, and we have won the last three meetings.

it's such an equal game on both sides. i think the Saints will claw this one out. 24-21

31-13. Their offense will be in for a rude awakening if they think it'll be the same old Saints D

Vikings offense is a joke and our def looks solid, so as long as we can move the ball on offense and score points we should be good to go imo

I think we'll blow them out. Cam will dominate and it's going to be a coming out party for Kikaha/Okafor/Muhammed. We'll have to remember not to bank on that, though, because the MN O-Line is in rough shape. Calling the Saints victory 34-16.

I'm predicting 28-3 final score. Saints on top.

17-0 Saints. I think the D is legit. I think Brees gets it done. I think it will be the boring game in Monday Night.

Some tell Aaron Rogers the Vikings choke in prime time. Coulda swore he threw a game losing pick to Trae Waynes last MNF....

I find the confidence they have in their bottom 3 defense hilarious. All of a sudden their D is laced with superstars and nobody will be able to move the ball on them.

Vikings 34 Aints 17

I hope it doesn't happen but I could see Brees football ancient butt getting knocked out of the game from an accidental hit and everyone losing the their #### over "bounty gate revenge"

Just have a feeling is all.

Brees doesn't get sacked too often, I hope we put him on the ground atleast 4 times for sacks and hurry the #### outta him all game.

for serious. I could get expecting to be better but their D flat out stunk last year. Suddenly they are elite?

Its crazy, It would be like us going on about how this years offense will break all the records. Cause we added Cook.

Yeah I don't wish injury on anyone either and would rather see us humiliate them without any excuses but could see the above scenario happen.

Last year's defense was bottom three. A factor in that was losing SIX cornerbacks to IR including the top five. They also lost 2015 2nd round edge rusher, Kikaha, for the year in the preseason. They also lost 2016 1st round pick, DT Sheldon Rankins, to a broken leg in the preseason. Then they lost safety Kenny Vaccaro to a four game suspension. The LB corps was dismal. The fastest LB ran a 4.69 40. This year the entire LB corps have faster times than that. The three new starting LB's are A.J Klein (from Carolina), Manti Te'o (from the Chargers), and Alex Anzalone (rookie standout from Florida). They also added edge rusher Alex Akafor (from the Cardinals) and drafted the top CB with the #11 pick overall, Marshon Lattimore (Ohio State) who will be starting opposite P.J Williams (who was one of those lost for the season early). ALthough, the most important additions are the new LB coach, Mike Nolan, and defensive line coach Ryan Neilsen (from NC State). Saints fans had been begging for the old LB and DL coaches to be fired for years. The entire defense looks several gears faster than anything in recent years.

The point being, there is nothing close to what was known as the "bottom 3 defense" to which you refer.

Just saying.

The offensive line for the Saints is one of the best in the league and Brees is one of the least hit QB's.

Not elite, but clearly VERY much improved.
