Jeff Brady

Ted Brown

September 6, 1992
Vikings 23 at Packers 20 (OT)
Dennis Green wins in his debut as the Vikings get a 45-run to set up the winning field goal from a 2nd year player from Clemson. He had been just a 9th round draft pick but he went on to gain 8,000 yards in a long career with Minnesota and Washington. Can you name him?

September 7, 1980
Vikings 24 Falcons 3
Minnesota gets the winning field goal with 29 seconds left from the last of the team's old-fashioned straight ahead kickers. He was a St. Paul native and a graduate of White Bear Lake High. Can you name him?

September 8, 1985
Vikings 28 49ers 21
With the score tied at 21-21, Minnesota recovers its 5th fumble to set up the winning score with 3 minutes left. It's the 3rd lost fumble of the game by a former UCLA Rose Bowl hero who had 6,000 yards rushing in a long career with the Rams and 49ers. Can you name him?
The climactic fumble is recovered by a #1 draft pick out of USC who was a brilliant, 6-time Pro Bowl safety with the Vikings. His 37 interceptions place him at #4 on the all-time Viking list. Can you name him?

September 9, 2007
Vikings 24 Falcons 3
The Vikings return 2 interceptions for scores, victimizing a quarterback who had been a big star at Oregon but a disappointment with the Lions. His tenure in Atlanta was similarly uninspired. Can you name him?
The second pick six was executed by a cornerback from Ohio State who came to Minnesota from Buffalo. His 21 interceptions in 9 Viking seasons put him at #10 on the team's all-time list. Can you name him?

September 10, 1989
Vkings 38 Oilers 7
Minnesota gets 2 short scoring plunges from a fullback who had been an 8th round pick out of Washington. He had a career high 588 yards rushing yards in 1989 but his NFL career was cut short due to injuries after the 1991 season. Can you name him?
