The Vikings got a 1st round talent in the second round and a reliable starter on the offensive line in a year when the talent pool is thin. Didn't give up "too" much so hope for the best.

Don't hate on my Buckeyes. Some of the best Vikings went to Ohio State.

I'm starting to think Seattle is the one that can't evaluate OL well. I had Feeney and Elflein both ahead of Pocic

When a talent like that is sitting there, you go get him. Philly was all over him

I think the Vikings have selected two guys who are fits in what they are looking for, but are getting really low relative value given the strength of the positions they are drafting this year. And twice traded up to do so! I'd have to give them a poor grade on how they are doing, even though both players will be good contributors.
Eh, it was a 5th and Feeney went right after so I'm alright with it. They still have a 3rd and 4th pick.

Wonder what the plan is for Elflein this year:

Berger (C) - Elflein (RG) ..... then moving Elflein to C next year

Elflein (C) - Berger (RG) with Berger there to help Elflein with line calls

Thought Nick Easton played okay at center last year and is still developing.

Primarily its that they seem to be paying no attention to relative value. the tradeups dont make me feel any better about it though.

Caleb Brantley or Dede Westbrook would not be bad options.

I don't follow. Cook was the #1 RB by PFF and I think top 32 pick by Mayock. Elflein likely the #1 or #2 C depending on where you have Pocic.

I like both players they picked, but there will be other really good RBs and interior OL available in the 4th and 5th. Not so much with their other positions of need. It is what it is. I think Cook and Elflein will both fit in and play well for the Vikings.

Michael Roberts, Julie'n Davenport also interesting. I agree Davenport played at Bucknell, but is very long and could surprise as he has the proto typical LT body

He's also in the running with Taxadermist McKinley for my 'worst name of the draft' award.
