Just put up again today.....
The Cincinnati Enquirer's Paul Dehner "continue(s) to feel confident" the Bengals will not retain free agent RG Kevin Zeitler.
Based on what he's heard, Dehner expects the Bengals to prioritize re-signing free agent LT/LG Andrew Whitworth and let Zeitler walk. It's a curious approach -- to be kind -- considering Whitworth is in steep decline at age 35 while 27-year-old (in March) Zeitler is one of the best young guards in football. Dehner believes there's only a "30 percent chance" Zeitler returns to Cincinnati. Zeitler is Rotoworld's No. 1-rated free agent interior offensive lineman.

Side note: I think we can switch some of the names of these threads to "2017" right??

I'm not big on signing a bunch of old guys. A big sleeper at DT is Stacey McGee from Oakland. Decent chance he hits FA and would be a good under the radar signing

But do we have time to be picky on o line, if we feel they are an upgrade?

They need a plan. They can't just randomly sign guys. If they have another plan at C and RG there wouldn't be much sense in signing a 33 year old Center. If they don't have a RG in mind, Berger can slide out there, and they just need to deal with the T positions.

Yeah I mean the guys have to fit the scheme. We cant just pick random players and hope it works out. And the last thing we need to do is get any older on the OL. Our two best OL are Berger who is like 35 and Boone who is pushing 30.

Anyone have a guess on how much Alshon Jeffrey will demand? I hope we re-sign Patterson, but we could take that money to go towards signing Jeffrey. He's obviously injury prone...and obviously very good. I know everyone's #1 priority is O-Line, just wondering if we could do both (especially if we are APless).
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

Can only guess, but given the injuries and the PEDs I think he'll get a short term or frontloaded deal so a team can cut bait if they need to. I wouldn't be opposed but I think he'll be out of our price range with all the other positions that need to be addressed.

I have no interest in Jeffery at all. We don't need another WR. Even if CP walks it opens doors for Treadwell. We can find a much cheaper option and use them as a #4
