Top 16 remaining

Post by fiestavike »

With 15 more picks before the Vikings are on the clock, worst case scenario should be landing the 16th best player left on their board.

So...who are your top 16 players still available?

First attempt...I'm not confident in this list yet. Wish I would have spent more time studying the draft this year! I really didn't look into WRs or QBs at all, and never found many LBers who interested me much.

Cam Robinson
Dion Dawkins
Taylor Moton

LB (2)
Zach Cunningham
Ryan Anderson

DT (1)
Dalvin Tomlinson

S (4)
Budda Baker

RB (1)
Samaje Perine

WR (1)
Curtis Samuel

CB (2)

What the heck is an "ER"? Based on the players with that designation, I'm guessing it's supposed to stand for "End, Right".

I've never seen that before.

Edge Rusher.

its shorthand for saying, maybe a 4-3 DE, a 3-4 OLB, a 'tweener etc.

I mean if you think about it, out of my top guys remaining, it consists of:

-Lamp, Feeney, Robinson, Dawkins, Elfein (all needs)
-Cook, Mixon, Kamara (all needs),
-McDowell (need)
-Baker, Maye, Melifonwu (needs)
-Cunningham, Williams, Bowser (needs)

....This draft (so far) couldnt have played out much better for us. I dont think anyone expected many of these guys to be on the board at this point.

I agree. The overdrafting of quarterbacks and wide receivers (3 in the top 9, are you kidding me?) has created a second-round talent pool that looks a lot like a first-round pool.

What are the numbers after their names?

Honestly, the BPA is Davlin Cook by far. Lamp and Robinson are essentially neck and neck. Jordan Willis is a guy no is listing but he could be dominate pass rusher.

See I think Mixon is better than Cook. I would say Lamp and Feeney are more neck and neck. I'm personally not that big on Robinson.

Cook and Lamp are going to be gone, maybe in the first two picks today.

I think McDowell, Cunningham, or Melifonwu. Robinson if he's around (Rick has already said Remmers can play guard). I feel like Feeney and/or Elflein will be around in the 3rd. Pocic will also probably be available. Key for the Vikings is those edge rushers get drafted and Kizer. That will knock some guys off the board that they aren't looking at. I think Kevin King should get drafted pretty early today too.
