Re: Kickers?
Other than the fact that he is on the Commissioner's exempt list and not able to play right now.Iron Lion wrote: Everyone saying Forbath but why not Josh Brown?
Not to mention the domestic abuse charges.
Wow.
Vikings fan since Nov. 6, 1966. Annoying Packer fans since Nov. 7, 1966
Re: Kickers?
They will sign Kai Forbath to replace Walsh, according to a league source. ESPN
Re: Kickers?
I thought he was a free agent. I thought the Giants cut him. My understanding is that if you're placed on that list, you're still a member of the team you were on because only teams can place their players on that list. The commish just suspends you and I believe he served his one-game suspension.Raptorman wrote: Other than the fact that he is on the Commissioner's exempt list and not able to play right now.

Wow.
As far as what he's done or what type of person he is, who cares? The only thing sacred is winning. Every team has (or should have) 53 alpha male bullies on it.

Re: Kickers?
I feel bad for Walsh, in all honesty. I still trust him 50+ more than anyone else in the league outside of maybe Prater. His FG% didn't seem all that bad, it just became a glaring issue because of the XP's on top of what happened last season vs. Seattle.
I remember Forbath with the 'Skins and he wasn't anything special. I believe this move is strictly because of Walsh's confidence and because Kai seemed proficient last season with the longer PAT's. We'll see....It doesn't help the Oline though.

I suppose it is possible, that enough gasoline will snuff out a dumpster fire. Hopefully he works out, but the season is pretty much lost.
