Re: Thoughts on Vikings versus Giants. MNF
My only fear is the speed of the NYG WRs.
They run 3 WR sets all game with OBJ, Shepard, and Cruz. Can Newman keep up?
I hope that we exploit their weak secondary. Hoping for big games from Diggs and Thielen. Hopefully CP gets a long TD on a screen or so.
I think that Rudolph is the big weapon also on Monday.

That's a good question about Newman keeping up. I don't know if it is because of his ankle injury, but it appears he's lost a step this year. Don't get me wrong, he is still good...but has got burned on a few plays.IIsweet wrote:My only fear is the speed of the NYG WRs.

I would like to start seeing them giving Mac & Kearse a few plays to gain some experience.

He is old....he was old last year, now he is even more so.... It seems kinda of risky to have so much responsibility put on him at his age for a position that in today's NFL demands lots of speed and height.......I dont think its going to work out well this season at that position. Hopefully one of our tall young players steps up and steps in.

I don't think Kearse practiced yesterday.....that stinks.

Kearse showed up on the injury report as a "tooth". Not sure what that means but I assume he has a tooth problem.

Eli should get flustered this game. My only worry defensively is the aggressiveness of our DB's and the ability of OBJ and co. to stretch the field...Giants might be able to get chunk yardage on some PI's tonight.
I think McKinnon breaks out tonight.

I have faith in the defensive line to bring pressure pretty quickly against Eli. I think that'll be the difference in the game. I'm really hoping the OLine steps it up this game.

Should be a win for us, we're more talented, more disciplined, at home, against a mediocre football team. 27-10

thoughts i'd like to share:
- i've been thanking bengals fans lately for letting us have zimmer
- perhaps the best security for our chance to make the super bowl is in our franchise player, marcus sherels!
- turf is mckinnon's and digg's natural habitat
- fully stoked to see CP on the field at any and all times
- glad to see CJ finally rake a couple in: the more he reminds he is a deep threat, we blow the top off the scoreboard circa 1998 (edit to add -cunningham, c.carter and bradford all former eagles)
- now espn power ranks show us #2 under denver. very very interesting...

Re: Thoughts on Vikings versus Giants. MNF
We beat the NYC team. East Coast bias is real. We've put three recent SB QBs on bad games in three straight weeks. Hard to argue with that. Even the Fox Sunday crew is talking about our defense as the test for an offense to see if they are truly great.
I doubt we'll over take DEN until (if) they lose. They have a legitimately great Defense as well and they won the SB last year. Hard to argue with that equity at this point in the season, especially when we both have the same record.
