Ok all you NFL Gurus, tell me I should be excited over Mr Hillman....please!

Is he a good pass blocker, can he work as a receiver? Is he a good locker room guy. Does he fumble much??

I need some good news

He was pretty much the reason Denver beat us last year. He broke off a 80 yard run for a touchdown. But there was also some terrible angles taken by our players to make the tackle or at least push him out of bounds

He struck me as a decent all-around back. Not at all sure about his blocking abilities...but he runs and catches well.
I assume McKinnon will be the 'guy' going forward, but if he should go down, Hillman has talent.

Good pick-up. Though I don't think he'll see much of the field unless he's got some Sam Bradford in him. AMIRITE?

I like the pick up.
He's a role player, but I saw him on the field for Denver on third down. I think he's here to provide backup for McKinnon. I don't think he'll challenge him to start, but he might have been the best insurance policy out there.

I like us picking up Hillman. I could see him getting some playing time. McKinnon has been banged up this season.
When Bradford was at the Eagles they used to throw to different backs coming out of the backfield.

Well, since we are not losing anyone of importance on the 53 I suppose it should be good.

Just glancing at his highlights, there isnt much there. His best run was the 72 yarder against us and that wasnt particularly skillful. I am not sure how effective he will be behind our line. I am very doubtful that he will have a chance to surplant Mckinnon. Maybe spot duty the second half of the season.

Any know contract deets?

From what I was told by a Broncos fan, there was a logjam of young running backs in Denver.

Hillman was going to fight for the 3rd RB spot, but the Broncos liked someone else.

Hillman is 25 years old, can run and catch, and he even has some speed (4.45/40). He's a good acquisition, in my view.

His biggest problem has always been fumbles. IF he cleans that up this will be a very good pick up.

AP fumbled on 2.1% of his carries last year (327 carries 7 fumbles). Hillman fumbled on 1.4% of his carries (207 carries 3 fumbles).

Ronnie Hillman signed a one-year, $760,000 deal with none guaranteed.
