Im not really the most knowledgeable on Diggs, but isn't he the type of guy you would prefer to keep in the slot ideally?dead_poet wrote:Mike Wallace signed with Baltimore. I think I'm OK with that. However it does put more pressure on existing receivers. Who's starting opposite Diggs and is he on the roster yet?
Flacco => Wallace seems like a good fit. Replacement isn't on the roster yet, will be when we draft Kyle Fullerdead_poet wrote:Mike Wallace signed with Baltimore. I think I'm OK with that. Spielman trading for Kyle Fuller, and then Norv taking a prized defensive prospect in Kyle Fuller away from Zimmer and making him a wide receiver?!S197 wrote: Flacco => Wallace seems like a good fit. Replacement isn't on the roster yet, will be when we draft Kyle Fuller
Honestly whoever they take in the draft I don't really think they need a "field stretcher" specialist for lack of a better word. Wright and Diggs can both get open deep and TB seems to have a good rapport with CJ, which makes his limited playing time odd (although partly due to injury). I feel like Diggs/Wright/CJ will be a good corp while the rookie learns the ropes. I suppose they have to be at this point.
Wallace says he wasn't going back to #Vikings. He used to envy deep ball opportunities Torrey Smith got playing with Flacco. #RavensTalk
Wallace: "You have a quarterback that can really sling the ball. That's what I need."
It's not too hard to read between the lines of those comments.dead_poet wrote:Welp.

i've seen those articles and yes, that sounds about right.Texas Vike wrote:Have you seen the Daily Norseman articles that interpret Mike Zimmer's press conferences? What he said vs. what he really meant?
Wallace really meant: "Teddy is too conservative for my game and he can't hit the long ball".
A source told ESPN's Adam Schefter that the deal is for two years and is worth $11.5 million.
Diggs is a wide receiver. Wright plays the slot.Jordysghost wrote: Im not really the most knowledgeable on Diggs, but isn't he the type of guy you would prefer to keep in the slot ideally?
I expect the Vikings to go for a WR in the first 3 rounds somewhere.
And it's not too hard to know why the team really lacks a deep pass attack. It's not the receivers, despite the myth circulating the media.Mothman wrote: It's not too hard to read between the lines of those comments.
Wallace: "I used to hate purple. Now I love purple."
@mattvensel "When this process started, I knew that I wasn’t going back to Minnesota. I was like, ‘I need a good quarterback."
Ouch.@mattvensel "I need a quarterback who I know is proven and can get things done." That quote might be a little better for your purposes
No, it's not and it will be interesting to see what, if anything the Vikes do at receiver from here. Will they add a receiver between now and the draft (or in the draft)? Will they go with the 5 they have under contract and try to expand Patterson's role? Maybe they'll do all of the above and try to create more competition this summer?losperros wrote:And it's not too hard to know why the team really lacks a deep pass attack.
