why the #### didn't you run webb.
When you're born, you get a ticket to the freak show. When you're born in America, you get a front row seat.

I'd forgotten about him! You're right, he is Spergonesque....J. Kapp 11 wrote:Wow, is Webb terrible. This is approaching Spergon Wynn territory.

They bought the hype. And they also apparently believed that Childress made the "Right Decision" when it came to deciding what Webb was.Laserman wrote:I never did understand the Joe Web Lovers around here. Tonight settles that issue forever. Hope he gets cut now
When it comes to personnel decisions that involve quarterbacks, Brad Childress should NEVER have been trusted. I bet if you got him drunk, he'd confide in you that "Darrell Bevell was the best darn quarterback he'd ever seen back in the day". When he's sober, of course it was Farve...but you know that Brad Childress, for a guy who used to be a highly regarded quarterback coach, couldn't pick 'em at all.

I sure hope this puts the Start Webb talk to bed forever.
If Ponder isn't our franchise quarterback, then our franchise quarterback isn't on the roster.

We don't have a franchise QB. We have a franchise RB.J. Kapp 11 wrote:I sure hope this puts the Start Webb talk to bed forever.

“He's like a piece of gristle. He's got a great squirt in the hole"-- Brad Childress.

As someone said earlier, it's a shame the season is going to end this way. This team gives us a fun ride this year.
I think it would have been a much more competitive game if Ponder had been healthy and able to play. I don't know if the Vikes would have won but Webb just hasn't given them enough to compete tonight.

They just weren't wired to win this week. Hard to beat a playoff team twice in the same season, let alone twice in a row.
A successful coach needs a patient wife, loyal dog, and great quarterback - and not necessarily in that order.

Well, we might as well biff on a punt, too.
