For some reason that PI call on Winfield, when it should have been called on Marshall, has me more ticked off then anything.

That was inexplicable. I can't believe the ref threw a flag on that.

Good to be level headed, but man today was pretty ugly. We have so many holes to fill.

The worst is that our lack of WRs make it difficult to conclusively say that Ponder does not have what it takes.

I disagree. Our weakest link is Ponder. I can almost promise Cutler, Rogers, Mannings etc, could MORE then make do with our receivers because we have AD. Ofc the QB has to have an arm and be accurate, but they would zing it in there for the receivers to do their job.

And just to be clear, I'm not making excuses for 7. I mean to say that our GM and coach will resort to that line of thinking and extend his timeline beyond what it should last.

I just don't see it with Ponder; you look at young guys elsewhere and see a spark.: Kapaernick, Russell Wilson, RG3, Luck, ... Ponder shows me no signs that he'll become exceptional. NONE>

No doubt. Frankly, the score was closer (as-is) than it looked like it should be when comparing the play of each team today.
