Percy Harvin ties franchise record

Re: Percy Harvin ties franchise record
Very cool. I hope Harvin's second half of the season is even better than the first half.
The Vikings are fortunate to have a playmaker like Percy.

Excellent! Here's hoping the second half of the season will be even more productive for Harvin (and that it will include at least a few breakaway TDs).

Good for him!!!!! He definately deserves it. He truly is one of the best and most exciting players in the NFL
Re: Percy Harvin ties franchise record
Yeah, but they are all less than 10 yards.....
The Marines I have seen around the world have the cleanest bodies, the filthiest minds, the highest morale, and the lowest morals of any group of animals I have ever seen. Thank God for the United States Marine Corps.

Harvin is averaging 11.1 ypc but all his catches are less than 10 yards?dkoby wrote:Yeah, but they are all less than 10 yards.....
Interesting math you have there.
Re: Percy Harvin ties franchise record
Yes, of course. Cause Wes Welker sucks because he only catches short passes.losperros wrote: Harvin is averaging 11.1 ypc but all his catches are less than 10 yards?

Well they start out less than 10 yardslosperros wrote: Harvin is averaging 11.1 ypc but all his catches are less than 10 yards?

And to make matters worse, Welker actually is short. He should be banned from the league!dkoby wrote: Yes, of course. Cause Wes Welker sucks because he only catches short passes.
Harvin is only 5'11". He should at least be suspended.
Re: Percy Harvin ties franchise record
Now you understand. Receivers can only be effective if they are 6'2" or taller and catch the ball at LEAST 10 yards down field.losperros wrote:

11.1 ypc
9 yac
So his average catch is 2.1 yards.
Welker
12.3 ypc
6.8 yac
5.5 yards downfield.
More impressive that Carter managed it, considering how many of Harvin's receptions are behind the line of scrimmage gimmes.
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/82/career
5.8 yards downfield.
There isn't anyone in the top 50 receivers close to the ratio Harvin is at. I know it doesn't matter he "tied the record" so wave the flags and start the parade. But he did it with 0 yard bubble screens and 1 yard quick hitters.
More impressive he's top 5 receiving this season despite 540 of his 667 receiving yards coming after the catch!
