I know there's lots of folks on here from MN and it's a sad day here. We lost a local sport legend today. Hearing PA cry on Barreiro's show/seeing it on the news made it worse for me.

I used to call in post vikings games in 1995-96 as a kid and chat him up. Nice guy but his health seems to have been an issue. You could hear it on Common's show

I'm really sad to hear that. I remember listening to his show on WCCO in the early 90's (I think I was the only teenager who regularly listened to WCCO ) and then occasionally seeing him at Twins/Vikes games on the sidelines, etc.

He'll be missed. I only became aware of him in the past few years from listening to KFAN all day everyday at work, but I liked when he was on. He had a different kind of delivery and charisma than what is standard in radio and that might have turned some people off, but I grew to like him. Common Man and Dark were a fun radio duo.
