I'm scared of the Eagles, who wants to play the streaking team? Still think we win the Super Bowl this year.

 Re: Playoff Predictions!
I think that the only place we could lose would be against the colts/titans in the superbowl. I'm not afraid of very many NFC teams...

 Re: Playoff Predictions!
As a man who knows many Eagles fans, it does suck that they always seem to get lucky...I have a good feeling about this game though. Pat has it right: "if you can't run, you will lose" this is very true...when the Eagles decide to run 20 or more times a game, they're very effective...what isn't said is who it's against...and it's teams that aren't effective against the run that they decide to run on...should be a good one! I'll be at the dome for it too! First Vikes game in over 7 years b/c I moved out of MN and I'm actually closer to Philly! CAN'T WAIT!!!!

 Re: Playoff Predictions!
I would agree, if we can handle the eagles blitzing D than we are capable of running the table. Super Bowl or bust baby!!!

 Re: Playoff Predictions!
Whoa - I thought I was being optimistic with two playoff wins!
I'm getting this feeling, maybe from the Philly fans who are in the Smack Shack, that the Eagles think the Vikes are going to be just a speed bump on their way to the Superbowl. I now think the Vikes will take the "underdog at home" status (which is bizarre - Philly lost and tied some pretty bad teams) and use it as motivation.
After that, well, we beat the Panthers before. We'll have Pat back, maybe Ray.
Then the wheels fall off in the Meadowlands - 5 turnovers.
John

 Re: Playoff Predictions!
Quote: I hate Philly, they always beat us. I really really want this win Bad. Years ago I realized I hated all teams after a loss to the Oilers before they defunked. But I remember the last Philly loss in '04. I can get pretty bad if I'm watching a game by myself, but mostly the opposite when others are around. That game our neighbor, a rugby league fan (of course), popped on over during the 2nd half - bad timing on his part. I was kind of oblivious and knocked something breakable over after another McNaab 3rd down conversion. My wife wasn't pleased, but I was in the moment and didn't care at the moment. If I still remember that crapola, then I still must not be pleased.

 Re: Playoff Predictions!
Come on gang....stop being afraid of those E-gals. Don't let them scare you because they pounded my pathedic 'boys. It's not like the E-gals beat a good team....lol Look at Mr Campbells defense, they only allowed McChunky's offense 3 pts in Washington. Ok you say their on a hot streak, what is the definition of a hot streak? That just sounds like something you would find in McReids pants. Be scared of the Panthers, I mentioned this sometime back on our Cowboys boards and no one believed me. No turnovers and you win easily with Petersen having a big game, it's an easy formula. Now darn it, be positive with this. Vikes win 24-13 and the 8yr drought is over

 Re: Playoff Predictions!
Well, this game for me is one o those "Be careful what you wish for" things. I hadn't watched the Eagles play all season and I was hoping to play anyone but the Cowboys, after watching us play against an aggressive Giants defense, and watching what the very aggressive Philly defense did to the Cowboys, Id have to say this is the worst case for us. I dont worry AS MUCH about our defense slowing down their offense as I do believe TJ and our offense will be almost totally shut out in this game. I believe we are one and done. Gonna be a tough one to watch IMO.

But, let's look at it this way... If the Vikings ever have a chance to win the Super Bowl, this year is it. No one -- NO ONE -- fears the Purple. Compare them to the Giants last year. Eli Manning had been called out by his own team mates and wasn't very consistent. The Giants were horrible in the first part of the season, but still managed to squeek into the playoffs. No one feared them last year. And, yet, they won the Super Bowl.
I'm not sayin'... I'm just sayin'. Dawnhttp://mn-duluth.myminicity.com/

 Re: Playoff Predictions!
I think we'll the beat Eagles- 28-24. Then the MAGIC begins........................ We then travel to Carolina and win there and then home to face the Falcons for the right to go to the Super Bowl!! After beating the Falcons soundly (and thus vanquishing the lingering pain of '98) we head to Tampa. Longwell puts a dagger into the Titans as the clock expires for our 1st SB victory!!!!

 Re: Playoff Predictions!
I think the Eagles are the best team in the playoffs when they're on their game. That said, if we beat the Eagles, the chance of a Super Bowl win becomes reality.

I'm surprised so many people are actually picking the Vikes to win the Super Bowl. I guess optimism reigns supreme! I think the Vikes have the talent to make a run in the postseason but I suspect their own inconsistency would keep them from winning 4 straight to become NFL champs. I'm guessing Mcnabb, Westbrook, Jim Johnson's blitzing defense and the Vikes postseason inexperience will lead to a loss on Sunday but I won't be surprised if the Vikes advance. I sure hope they do! Re: Playoff Predictions!
Lose first round.
Honestly, I'd as soon play ANY of the other NFC teams except the one we're playing. Eagles are not a good matchup for us. We'll get picked apart by the short passing game, especially to Westbrook. Won't be able to cope with the heat that Johnson will be bringing all day, either.
