In the pre game show they were talking about how he is no longer a favorite around the league for HC positions. I'm guessing he'll get a shot as an OC or positions coach next season.

It will be tough for him to get an OC job I think. Perhaps a QB coach.Texas Vike wrote: ↑Sun Dec 16, 2018 4:37 pmIn the pre game show they were talking about how he is no longer a favorite around the league for HC positions. I'm guessing he'll get a shot as an OC or positions coach next season.

Ive wondered that. Whose fault is it that allowed him to be fired, Rickie or Zimmer? I think Zimmer lets Rick have his way with most of the offensive hires, drafts and FA's. Or did they both believe all the talk about How good he was as the Browns OC (he was NOT good there) or how he made Foles (although I dont think he had much to do with Foles getting to the SB.Texas Vike wrote: ↑Sun Dec 16, 2018 4:37 pmIn the pre game show they were talking about how he is no longer a favorite around the league for HC positions. To be fair, that defense we faced is horrible and was missing their best CB.

Bad defense or not, it was such a better approach to a game. Establish the run early. Not run once because that’s what Zim wants and when it doesn’t work we throw 40 times lol.YikesVikes wrote: ↑Sun Dec 16, 2018 5:27 pm To be fair, that defense we faced is horrible and was missing their best CB.

He's thinking I wish I could have been showcased calling plays against a team that allows an average of 140 rushing yards a game.

Re: So what is Flip thinking now...
You have to remember Deflip did call a fair of amount of run plays up to about 2 weeks ago. But now nearly enough to bring balance to the team. And if the run game did have immediate results, he counted on Cousins to get us out of trouble, fast.Pondering Her Percy wrote: ↑Sun Dec 16, 2018 11:16 pmBad defense or not, it was such a better approach to a game. They were probably impressed by the job the Eagles did against them in the NFCC. I imagine that at least piqued their interest (along with all the hot candidate talk).PurpleKoolaid wrote: ↑Sun Dec 16, 2018 4:50 pmIve wondered that. Defilippo was interviewed by both Spielman and Zimmer (I'm not sure if that was one interview or separate interviews) so hiring him was probably a mutual decision. However, I think Zimmer gets the final "yay or nay" when it comes to his staff.
