Agreed. He is dead on. A lot of miscues by the team as a whole. crucial drops, defensive mistakes and failure to adjust all added up to this loss. i would like to see us establish the run more in a game like this, but without a deep threat, it can be tough to do.

As stated before, field goals in the first quarter blow! When down in the 4th quarter by 3 scores, start the "hurry up offense" at 10-12 minutes, not at 4! Coaches, do you want to win the game or not?

Once again, we're justifiably reminded that this is a rebuilding season and the Vikings still have pieces missing in the puzzle. Sometimes it's easy to forget that.

The Vikings going 4-2 up to this point is still far better than I thought they could do before the season began.

If our defense would've stopped RGIII on that 3rd and 6 where he ran it for 76 yards and a TD, we would've got the ball back with roughly 2:45 (1 timeout plus the 2 minute warning) to make a game winning drive.

Yesterday I saw a young QB that was thinking to much about getting hit and moving from ghosts. I saw receivers not doing a good job getting seperation in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. Defensively, I saw a team that was not prepared to face a QB that possessed RGIII's characteristics. Are these issues fixable on defense and offense? Yes but at the same time, the players we may currently have on the field may not be the answer to fix the problems.

Ultimately, I think we all saw the youth of this team yesterday. The win streak was fun while it lasted, but now reality has come back to bite us in the rear. Like I said yesterday, this season is far from over. However, in order for us to be competitive down the stretch, we first need to see how this young team responds in the face of adversity.

There was nothing the Vikings did to temper RGIIIs confidence. If you score 2 TDs in any of those 3 redzones trips you don't allow RGIII to get rolling. Once he got rolling, once he started feeding off the crowd it pretty much doomed the Vikings.

And this is something I take as a weirdly positive thing: Although they had a lot of miscues and not playing well on both sides of the ball in the second and third quarters, they kept grinding and found themselves with an outside opportunity to win the game. They fought their way back in a game they probably shouldn't have won. They responded well to losing to the Colts after a furious comeback; it will be very interesting to see how they handle this one. Part of the maturing process.
