Re: Championship Roster

No way. Zimmer is gone if this team doesn't make the playoffs and win once there. The Wilfs may love him but they love winning more. I think they love making money off the team most of all. Staying relevant if not winning a SB helps them do that and Zimmer helps them do that. Same with Rick. I have...

Re: Irv Smith Jr. out for start of season

I don't have a great feeling about this offense in general this year, and I sure hope I'm wrong. I hope the D can carry the team until the O can figure out some things, because the vibe from camp and preseason has not been good so far. The preseason was pretty bad on offense, but I keep telling mys...

Re: Irv Smith Jr. out for start of season

I went to the NY Post. They called Herndon disappointing. The fan comments were good riddance and they fleeced the Queens. Herndon has been inconsistent and has had some off-field issues, but he has talent and has been productive for stretches. The NY fans likely expected to see that higher level o...

Re: Irv Smith Jr. out for start of season

News just broken that Irv is likely out for the season. I mean that doesn't surprise me, but that really sucks. Sigh.

Re: Irv Smith Jr. out for start of season

Ertz would have cost at least a 2nd round pick. My speculation is a third round pick at the most. We possibly could have had him for the same price as Herndon, but opted for Herndon feeling that Ertz is washed up. I tend to think a 2nd would be closer, especially considering that we gave up a 4 for...

Re: Irv Smith Jr. out for start of season

After hearing the cost, I feel like we overpaid a bit in a panic move, and I agree it does not look good for Irv. I would have preferred Ertz as well, but he is likely on the down side of the hill. I guess time will tell, but I don't have a great feeling about this trade.

Viking trade for Chris Herndon: https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/1432785044653973517 The #Vikings have solved their TE issue, as they are trading for promising #Jets TE Chris Herndon in exchange for draft pick compensation, sources say. Agent @malkikawa later confirmed the deal. Herndon steps rig...

Well, except maybe towards Cousins....

Re: Fire everyone and start all over please

Seems like they're going to wipe the slate clean as far as players go but let Zimmer and Rick get another shot at rebuilding the team and apparently around Cousins. I don't think they'll survive another start like this in 2021 but I do think we'll see Zimmer and Rick back next year. Yeah, I'm afrai...

Re: Vikings in full tank mode - trade Ngakoue

Now that it's official that Hunter is out for the year, it's a lot more believable that they are in rebuild/tank mode. I mean, I honestly can't see them going full tank mode, but I can see them trying to trade Reiff and Harris as well. Harris might be interesting since we have zero backup safeties,...

Re: Vikings in full tank mode - trade Ngakoue

He current sits at 20th in cap hit per year among LTs, is essentially free this year for any team that trades for him, and will only cost 11 million next year (very average for a LT) if the team who trades for him wants to keep him, otherwise he can be cut with no dead cap. If he were getting paid ...

Re: Vikings in full tank mode - trade Ngakoue

I hate to even defend Rick in this, but getting anything back for Ngakoue at this point isn't bad. Yes, the initial trade was stupid, but I was really hoping to see Hunter and Ngakoue play together at some point. But, clearly they didn't see Ngakoue in the future plans, so at least we were able to g...

Re: 2nd Half Schedule Predictions.

Anyone willing to predict the rest of the schedule and give their explanation for it. Below you guys can find my version. Zimmer retires in the offseason citing his health and the growing concern over the 3rd wave of the CoronaVirus. The 2021 season is postponed. I won't make any predictions, but I...
