Re: Remaining Free Agents

At receiver, my preference at FA would probably be Perriman, I think Anderson is asking too much for us to be involved. Not sure what D. Thomas has left. Wright or Gabriel would be ok if cheap enough, but then I definitely would want an early pick in the draft go WR. With Perriman I think we could ...

Re: New Players on Banner

What if we kicked it Old School and went with historical Viking scenes? Mike Tice scalping Super Bowl tickets. Onterrio Smith pissing into a Whizzinator. Norm Van Brocklin standing by himself with resting b!tch face. Strippers and hookers on a fancy catamaran. Jerry Burns at a press conference with...

Re: Vikings cut Kline

Both Rick and Zimmer are on the final years of their contracts and ownership has already been very forgiving of their post season losses. Can they afford to lose 10+ games next season and not lose their jobs? I wouldn't be surprised if they've already had their deals extended. If I remember correct...

Re: Top needs in free agency and draft

I said his contract would be a waste of money if you don't build him an offensive line capable of avoiding those very 'imperfect conditions' against better teams, and that's going to require a VERY good offensive line...one of the best in the NFL. That's what you'll need if you want to win a champi...

Re: Top needs in free agency and draft

I feel like Johnson is a can't miss guy, similar to how I felt about Decker coming out of college. If we can get him late in the 2nd that is a steal, imo. Don't be surprised if we get him in the 3rd or possibly even 4th round. The NFL has a bias against Minnesota Gophers. With that said Don't be su...

Re: Vikings cut Kline

The only sense I can make of it is either a) they viewed him as a very poor player, or b) he wasn't in their plans past this year, they don't think they can win this year, and accordingly, would rather give reps to a player who is (potentially) part of their plan beyond this year. I'm betting it's ...

Re: 2020 Offseason News Thread (Signings, Coaching changes, etc.)

It's a business. You can't be overly concerned with somebody getting their undies in a bunch. Harris can sign the tender if he wants to call our bluff. We have our options and he has his. If you deny a guy getting his first chance at FA millions of dollars, it might not be good for your reputation ...

Re: Top needs in free agency and draft

Most of the "experts" see Tyler Johnson as a 3rd round pick at best. I don't think we want to use our 2nd on him. I've seen him projected at #58, which happens to be our 2nd round pick (the site was just listing prospects by talent, not considering team needs or even who actually owns eac...

Re: Vikings cut Kline

Kline had 22 pressure and 3 sacks. IF we were helping him and leaving Pat alone... we deserve to lose every game. That is a lot for a RG who missed multiple games. A lot for a RG period. I think the move is still a head-scratcher, but you're not necessarily wrong. I'm guessing the injury history ha...

Re: Vikings Signing Michael Pierce

This could be a good signing (they need help against the run!) but they'll need to make sure Pierce keeps his weight down. Yeah, this signing comes with some risks. Pierce came into camp last year 50 lbs over weight. That was a contract year and he wasn't motivated enough to get into playing shape....
