Re: Vikings vs. Packers Postgame

The production was fine, he just didn't look like himself to me. Meanwhile, one other area of concern, the Packers may well have won this game if they hadn't mysteriously abandoned the run. The Pukers aren't on our level and weren't going to win this game no way no how. There was definitely a point...

Re: Can we talk Tight Ends?

Irv has been very disappointing so far in his career. It's only one game but that's a position that could use some new blood next year if KOC plans on utilizing it much. Irv Smith is not very good. He is athletic and can make some hay on crossing routes, but he had one of the worst combine performa...

Re: Vikings vs. Packers Postgame

That was a fun game. The defense it finally playing proactively. Years of watching our guys play reactively on that side made bringing that intensity on that side of the ball pretty satisfying. Areas of concern include Dalvin Cook for me. He didn't look like himself. I'm not predicting it yet, but ...

Re: 53 Man Roster --predictions and developments

The vikings line did pretty well in this one. A couple of breakdowns, which were cause for concern. Kirk had one really ill advised throw in one of those circumstances which could have been catastrophic. Got away with that one. At this point, I don't think he is gonna learn to avoid panic in those c...

Re: Vikings trade for DT Ross Blacklock

I had wanted Reagor during that draft, so I'm keen to give him a chance. I suspect he can be a weapon within O'connor's offense and a guy you can place in the slot, and scheme into space for productive quick passes. I was never overly impressed with Smith-Marsette though I admit have a bias against ...

Re: Top Tier QB's

Kirk will have another chance to prove it this year. So far he is a middling QB with some great strengths and some glaring weaknesses. I hope he improves or the system fits him better or something leads to better results. I think you need to game plan around Kirk more than you would some other QBs i...

Re: Vikings vs Pukers 9/11/22

It’s extremely hard for me to see any positives about the Vikings’ defense last year. — They were terrible against the run, giving up 138 YPG. — They had two games — TWO — where they didn’t give up points in the last two minutes of the 1st half or game. — In addition to all the points given up in t...

Re: Vikings vs Pukers 9/11/22

Vikings were near the bottom of the league in 3rd down conversions last year, and tied for dead last in number of 3 and outs. Combine this with DVOA and you can see the defense was better than its rank based on points or yards given up. Team sport guys. the offense screwed the pooch pretty regularly...

Re: The JC Tretter situation

Why does collusion have to involve all of the teams contacting each other? Couldn't the league contact each team that might be interested individually? Now you're talking about 5-6 high level conversations between a top league official and the ownership of the teams. That's not nearly as far-fetche...

Re: 53 Man Roster --predictions and developments

Can't imagine we'd get more than a 6th or 7th rounder for him. I think we can do better than that. How about a player instead of a draft pick? He just doesn't have any value. He is a career backup/third string RB. I hope he makes a lot of money in the NFL, but he will not have a meaningful pro foot...

If anyone needs professional help it's you. Who goes into a topic they're not interested in and then complains that the topic is happening? As if you couldn't have just not read it. Nobody cares that you don't care. Move on. I already got professional help but since you replied to my post, you obvi...

Re: 53 Man Roster --predictions and developments

Matt Lombardo @MattLombardoNFL · Follow Some chatter on #Vikings RB Alexander Mattison, I'm told per league sources, while Minnesota isn't actively shopping him, the team is certainly listening to offers. #NFL 11:51 AM · Aug 29, 2022 We have a glut. Listening to offers is wise. Can't imagine we'd g...

Re: Top Tier QB's

Y'all gotta step your game up. This is a terrible conversation. y? You aren't tired of the stats vs. wins argument yet? We can all choose which correlating factors we want to hitch our wagon to and stumble around in blind ignorance, or we can try to get beyond that. I'm well done with the first opt...

Re: Top Tier QB's

He'll throw over 30 TDs. He gets out there every game but 1 even when his ribs were banged up he played. When he was out that 1 game our team was buried by a team he already beat earlier in the year which proves he elevates this team. What he has done was accomplished behind an OL ranked 23 in 2021...
