Re: Daniel Jeremiah draft on ESPN

So I just watched Thor on Purple Daily just bash this pick and then provide some stats as to why it would be a terrible pick. I have never turned a 180 so fast. Man, I just want to have a great young QB in the wings. If Hooker is the pick, I sure hope that we are able to trade down while acquiring s...

Re: Daniel Jeremiah draft on ESPN

According to NFL Draft Buzz (btw... I want him) Hendon Hooker MEASURABLES: HEIGHT: 6-3 (53%*) WEIGHT: 217 (34%*) HANDS: 10 1/2 (88%*) ARM: 33 (75%*) SPAN: 79 (88%*) SCOUTING REPORT: STRENGTHS Hooker has a quick release and a live arm, delivering tight spirals, and Hooker shows good touch at the inte...

Re: Lamar Jackson

Honestly, I am total agreeance here. I would not want Lamar Jackson. He would be fun to watch, but the amount of $ and the lack of production would drive me insane. I hope that KAM and KOC feel the same way. I am very much enamored with Hendon Hooker in this draft. I would be willing to trade up for...

Daniel Jeremiah draft on ESPN

With the 23rd pick of the 2023 NFL draft, The Minnesota Vikings select... Hendon Hooker.. Quarterback..Tennessee. I personally would be thrilled. If not injured, and 25, he would be top 10... maybe top 3. Sit and learn the offense behind Kirk and take over in '24. Plus 5 year rookie deal Bucky Brook...

Re: Lamar Jackson

Question... how many Super Bowls did we play in with arguably one of the top 2 WRs to ever play, Randy Moss... Not to mention with another HOF in Cris Carter. Compare that to... How many did we play in with an elite QB, Fran Tarkenton ? I know, different eras and different games, etc. However, just ...

Re: Lamar Jackson

Hey, I saw something and asked. Now, here is something that you have not mentioned. With those big $$$ QB's, they do not seem to have a Big $$ WR. So would you rather have Lamar at QB or JJ at WR ? If you choose Lamar, there is no doubt that we could get a kings ransom in draft picks for JJ. Plus, J...

Lamar Jackson

Read today that we and the Titans are 2 new teams showing potential interest in Lamar Jackson.
Just curious as to everyone's thoughts?
Obviously, we would have to figure out a way to trade Cousins, among all of the other obstacles...
BUT..... WOULD YOU DO THIS ???

Re: Future Viking qb?

I hate to say that McKee is a "match" for Kwesi in being a big and "cerebral" QB. He is graduating from Stanford. I have others I would prefer such as Hendon Hooker or a number of guys in the 2024 draft. But... Tanner McKee does probably bring a lot of Kirk Cousins to the position.

Re: Harrison Smith, Vikings agree on reworked contract

I like this because Cine missed last season. Harrison is better than Metellus and Bynum. It is a 1 year deal and fully expect Cine and ??? To be starting in 2024. 2023 though has the makings of getting a lot younger and much more athletic. Still keeping some veterans to help prevent the inexperience...

Re: Vikings sign TE Josh Oliver

I disagree. New HC and new OL coach. I would think that if KOC and Kuper felt we had to move on, then we would be. Right now there will be ZERO turnover from the OL. Hopefully that leads to better play. As for KAM, he is definitely getting the team younger and more athletic. I cannot believe that we...

Cousins and Bradbury

So Cousins restructures and saves the team $16million. However, his contract expires after the season. So no Cousins after 2023 !!! Also, Bradbury signs a 3 year deal, $15.75m, which I personally am not a fan of. However, it is very cheap considering.... I am thrilled to finally see the end is near ...

Re: Vikings sign TE Josh Oliver

The ravens already have a ton of money at the TE position in Andrews, plus Isaiah Likely. Have no idea of this guy but we definitely did not have a good TE situation last year until we got TJ. I am thinking also that this helps O'Neill after Achilles surgery. Keeping Ham means keeping leadership in ...

Re: PHP's Official Vikings Mock Offseason

Also, PHP, great job on your Mock. I really like a lot of it. I have targeted some different players in particular but very similar in position. Right now, I am all in on trading away our 1st pick. To me, I want as many picks in the 2nd and then 3rd as possible this year, but we do not have many and...
