Re: Mike Zimmer unanimous pick for NFC North coach of year

This team, with it's players, fans and ownership are truly blessed to have Zim at the helm. It took way too long to get it right, but to me anyway, it might have been worth the wait. :smilevike:

Re: What??? Teddy to the Pro Bowl?

It doesn't matter why the Vikings passing offense was one of the worst this year. The qb is the one who gets too much credit when they do good and also gets too much blame when they don't do good, fair or not. But to say Teddy is deserving of the Pro Bowl because his receivers, o-line and coaches s...

Re: What??? Teddy to the Pro Bowl?

This just shows how thin the talent level in the NFL is for QB. Its odd. I dont know if less kids are going into football, or perhaps just less intelligent kids capable of playing QB. Guys like Flacco, Palmer, etc have made it to the "apex" when they really arent very good. Old guys like ...

Re: What??? Teddy to the Pro Bowl?

I wouldn't be so sure. He has 3 career games with 40+ attempts and he didn't throw for more than 1 TD in any of them. In fact, he's only thrown for more than 1 TD in 6 of the 29 games he's played. They also like genuinely good QB play, which Dan Marino provided in spades. We've seen far too little ...

Re: What??? Teddy to the Pro Bowl?

News flash....Being a good QB means a whole lot more than how many td passes he threw. When the Vikes got into the red zone, more often than not, they seemed to (right or wrong) "stuck" with their running attack, which I believe was/is one of the best in the NFL. When a team has the leagu...

Re: What??? Teddy to the Pro Bowl?

Norv Zimmer, "Don't get me wrong... I like teddy. I hope he is our qb of the future. But, to be excited he was named to the pro bowl after soany qbs turned it down ahead of him is silly. Cmon, he had like 11 tds the whole year....[/quote] News flash....Being a good QB means a whole lot more tha...

I knew that but he got the pick over several other NFC QBs obviously. Yeah, I guess no big deal except for us that are Teddy backers

Re: What??? Teddy to the Pro Bowl?

I don't know about eight but there are at least 6: Tom Brady, Carson Palmer, Aaron Rodgers, Ben Roethlisberger, Philip Rivers and Cam Newton (who will obviously miss it because he'll be playing in the Super Bowl). http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/01/25/dont-hold-your-breath-to-see-tom-brad...

Re: What??? Teddy to the Pro Bowl?

I bleed purple and am happy for the Vikings that get a free trip to Hawaii. But, what a absolute joke the pro bowl has become. Seriously like 8 quarterbacks turned down going...... what the hell is the point of the game? Until they make the game actually worth something (like MLB) it will always be...

Apparently you have not been reading this board, according to a few here, Teddy sucks :?
Congrats to Teddy and the rest of the Vikes who made the roster.

Re: How to Improve the Offense

Keep in mind the Panters can do things we cannot simply because of Newton. Newton is a threat to run on every play on his own, which changes the dynamic of how you defend him. This isn't a knock on the Vikings, just the simple fact that Newton is a very unique player. The Vikes destroyed the Panthe...

Re: Championship Sunday

I was just thinking that. Carolina is an example of what a mediocre QB with mediocre offensive weapons can do with a brick wall in front of him. Wow Cam is far from mediocre, in fact, his age, his size, his mobility, arm strength, make him, in my mind and many others, the best QB in the entire leag...

Re: Championship Sunday

I have never seen an offensive line play as poorly as the Pat's. Encouraging to know that the Vikes can and will compete with any team out there. With a good draft, a few good trades, a new stadium the sky is the limit

Re: Championship Sunday

Esiason just said that the only 1st rd pick starting on the NE offense is Stephen Jackson, who was a last minute pick up off the scrap heap....amazing~ I do not like him one bit but Belichicken maybe the best coach in the history of the NFL. I want to see Arizona beat the Pats in the Super Bowl, th...

Re: Zimmer: Teddy Bridgewater needs to refine mechanics

Some people want some magical QB to appear on the Vikings team next year and take this team to the playoffs. Well folks, it's not going to happen. Teddy Bridgewater is going to be the QB next year, unless he gets hurt. I don't see any QB that the Vikings could possibly draft or sign that would take...
