Re: Vikings-Lions game thread
Only as ugly as the terrible calls that kept the Lions in the game, happy for the win and Happy Thanksgiving to all! You hit the nail on the head. In this case, one can complain about the terrible officiating without the 'sour grapes' justification frequently being used to dismiss the complaints. T...

Re: Week 12 Reaction Thread
That is hilarious. 9-2 feels pretty good in spite of (or perhaps because we overcame) the officiating.petev_sj wrote:I think a youtube commentator on the Vikings highlight videos sums up the game best for me.

Re: Made in Minnesota - Adam Thielen
It's true, though, isn't it? I was watching something on NFL.com yesterday (because I have a problem with Vikings obsession). I think it was Charley Casserly's keys for Detroit to beat the Vikings. He never once mentioned Adam Thielen. He mentioned Keenum, Diggs, Rudy, even Murray, but not one word...

Re: Sam-Teddy-Case thread
We are going to be in a really bad spot by the end of the season. All 3 QBs will be free agents, and we will have to make some very difficult decisions. You can't give starting money to two QBs. IF (big if) Case wins a Super Bowl, it's a "no-brainer." Where it gets difficult would be is i...

Re: Sam-Teddy-Case thread
Kapp, I hear ya and agree. There's this little part of me that remembers a 1998 Randal Cunningham and a 1999 Randall Cunningham, though. Even if Case makes it to the "big dance," this year how do we evaluate whether or not it was a 'fluke' ala the 1998 vs 1999 Cunningham. Will/would case p...

Re: WEEK 12: Minnesota Vikings @ Detroit Lions Discussion
It's a very important game. Win and we are commanding the North. Lose and the Lions are only 1 game behind us with them owning the tiebreaker.

Re: Enemy Fan Forums: Los Angeles Rams
I remember Diggs at Maryland. He was good, but not great. I don't remember Theilen at all.
That one made me laugh. NO ONE remembers Thielen (to speak of) in college. That’s why he went undrafted. They know his name now, though....

Re: Not elite
I started thinking about our defense (elite is just a subjective label IMHO) and wondered whether or not 1 game could (or should) make a difference in that assessment. I looked at last year's number 1 ( source ) defense 15.6 points per game (New England) and decided to look at individual games durin...

Re: Hasan: Start Teddy Bridgewater
Here's an article that, while mostly putting a positive take on Bridgewater's rehab, did have this rather sobering information: This is not to say Bridgewater’s rehab was necessarily better than Culpepper’s or that Teddy will have more success coming back than Daunte — who went just 3-17 as a start...

Re: Week 9: Vikings vs. Bye
Let's not talk about playoffs just yet (channeling Jim Mora)... the Redskins can beat us. In fact, the next five games are all against tough opponents... we've seen this before, and it can get very ugly. :govikes: Plus a majority are road games. While we have been doing better in that regard, it st...

Re: Bradfords knee??
POINTS PER DRIVE!!! NOT PER GAME. I told you again why. They had far fewer possession for and against then the league avg. so points per game stats were skewed. To correctly get an accurate picture is to use PPD. Look - I'm not looking to be a contrarian, but even football outsiders has the followi...
