I call him Aaron because both men and women can be weak.

Re: Packers-Vikings post game

It's funny... hasn't like 90% of this message board been saying the Vikings just need to take more risks (be less conservative) on offense all season? Wouldn't we be at least 8-2 if the team actually did that (wins vs Browns, Ravens, Cowboys)? I think it says something that the laypeople of the foru...

I've been planning home projects/renovations during Vikings games.

Re: Vikings @ Ravens post game

I gotta say... another week I decided to not watch the Vikings and another Sunday where I didn't care that I didn't watch the Vikings. Got half of a kitchen install done instead while checking ESPN gamecast every water break. I saw 14-3 and 24-10 and knew we'd lose it anyway because we've got "...

Re: The Toxic Zimmer/Cousins Relationship

Kirk Cousins on the situation at the end of the first half where 20 seconds ran off the clock: "I just let Zim handle the timeouts because I never know quite what the coaches want to do with that." — Will Ragatz (@WillRagatz) November 1, 2021 Yes I have read that quote that is not saying ...

Re: Cowboys @ Vikings post game

You’re making a stat-based argument that all but ignores objective reality. A defense that repeatedly breaks down, collapses in big moments, allows opponents to create substantial advantages in TOP, etc. is not a good defense. The “real issue” with this Vikings team is that it simply isn’t very goo...

Re: Cowboys @ Vikings post game

This just isn't working. I guess the more I think about it, that's it. As a whole it isn't working. They have had the time, support, and resources. It's their coaches, their players, their schemes. This team/front office/coaching staff is just broken. Exactly. In the end it doesn't really matter wh...

Re: Cowboys @ Vikings post game

Here’s perhaps the most embarrassing part of the many embarrassments from last night. Minnesota was a pathetic 1-of-13 on third downs, but more incredible is this stat from The Athletic's Chad Graff: "After the first possession, Kirk Cousins had eight third-down throws. He didn't pass beyond t...

Re: Cowboys @ Vikings post game

The big takeaway to me was that there isn't clear cut direction, at something there should be. That is the takeaway for me as well. That, and wondering how a 10 year veteran QB doesn't know he should be taking a timeout there without the coaching staff telling him to. Zimmer last night: "no on...

Re: Cowboys @ Vikings post game

Kirk admitted that he's not allowed to call timeouts or plays at the end of the half and at the end of games. "I just let Zim handle the timeouts, because I never know quite what the coaches want to do with what they're thinking, a play ahead or what that may be. So I was just gonna let them h...

Re: Cowboys @ Vikings post game

Really, this one came down to incompetence on offense. At home. Yeah, the defense should probably have done better. There was some real whack out there and inconsistency on defense reared its ugly head yet again, but the way I saw it the defense did more than enough to win this game had the offense...

Re: Cowboys @ Vikings post game

Top ten defence, pass whatever your drinking/smoking. Fire Zimmer, trying to defend this guy still is just getting old, he sucks period. Perception versus reality. Perception is that this defense isn't good because of one drive at the end of a game where the offense consistently went 3 and out and ...

Re: Cowboys @ Vikings post game

Who gets to decide which stats are the only stats that impact wins and losses? Sounds like a convenient way to just ignore any data you want. Last I checked scoring points is the only stat that affected wins and losses. That is not convenience, that is reality. However, if you want other stats the ...

Re: Cowboys @ Vikings post game

That The Athletic article sums it all up.

Why doesn't Zimmer let Kirk call timeouts at the end of the half and games? That just screams of dysfunction. Glad Kirk said something about it to shed some light on it.
