I read that this morn. Pretty crazy story.
I didn't know Coleman was in the Vikings camp. He's look great across from Smith.

Re: Cordarrelle Patterson
It will be really interesting to see what happens if he has another season like last year. I'm curious as to his overall mindset about how he is used vs what he thinks he's capable of. If they offer him a contract to basically return kicks....does he sign it? Do they even offer him one? He'd make a ...

Re: 3 Offensive Stats Where Vikings Improved
The defense also plays a huge role in TOP. The red zone inefficiencey is the biggest buggabo for me...by far. Considering how many games they won with their conservative style and mashed up O-line, a few more TDs vs FGs could have changed so much for the offense. Not just the outcome of individual c...

Re: Manziel benched (again)...
LoL ...The Browns are concerned about their reputation based on Manziel? That organization should pay it's fans for supporting it. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if a better team grabs Manziel and he gets significantly more serious. The guy has talent and a bucket of issues....but who the hel...

Re: What??? Teddy to the Pro Bowl?
pfft The deep pass to McKinnon in the GB game was perfect. It's not Teddy'a fault Jerrick isn't 6' 3". - I think it's a bit rich to deny there is an issue down the field. It's an aspect of pressure that he hasn't fully learned to deal with at the NFL level, cause the word is he nails it in prac...

Re: Zimmer: Teddy Bridgewater needs to refine mechanics
@John I think one of the things Spielman does well is spot the athletic guy....maybe not the most fundamentally sound, but the guy with crazy potential. Then he's not afraid to pull the trigger. It looks as though Zimmer's real knack is getting that guy to love the game and play fundamentally sound,...

@John
Just to clarify, my comment on talent evaluation was specifically regarding QB and O-line.

I think Arians and Andy Reid will grab some votes...but Rivera seems the obvious choice.Boon wrote:Only thing in front of him for nfl coach of the year is rivera

Re: Core Offensive Players
I think McKinnon is a core player going forward. His limitations are only due to AD's presence, IMO. I think they are set at RB, barring any big injury. Diggs could work his way to that distinction...but being a rookie this year leaves a lot of room for rise and fall. They seem to have a significant...

Re: march 9 is the kalil deadline
All of the above is what i was referring to by their 'desperation factor'. With just a couple of moves they could clear some serious cap space. They could make some huge changes between that and the draft....or they could poke along and trust more on the return of the injured. I'm glad it's not on m...

Re: march 9 is the kalil deadline
Yes, but he struggled mightily at that position for the Chargers. Most of his tackle experience is at right tackle, where he's a more natural fit. Ohh...wel, as Emily Litella would say, 'Never mind' I think what they got from Kalil this year is probably his physical ceiling going forward. Average. ...

I was going with the assertion up thread that Harris has played LT in the past.

Re: march 9 is the kalil deadline
The Kalil situation really strikes me as the crux to the whole line issue. Whether or not the FO sees it as a 'situation' is part of it. They may be satisified with him for all I know. I think his knees make him a major liability. I'm attracted to the idea of having Harris at LT, Fusco back at his o...

@Slap
I'm not getting why other guys with starter potential can't be brought in to compete for the jobs during camp along with everyone else.
