Re: Three Surprise Cuts You Might See From The Vikings

Trevor Siemian is not getting cut. The purpose of a backup quarterback isn't just to play if the starter goes down. It's also to help prepare the starter for each game. Siemian has 30 starts under his belt. Sloter has never taken a snap in a regular-season game. You tell me who's more valuable to Ki...

Re: Three Surprising Trade Scenarios The Vikings Should Consider.

If he's healthy, Rashod Hill will be the starting RT for the Vikings this year. O'Neill isn't ready, and Remmers will play RG when he returns. The Vikings won't trade their starting RT, especially when they're even weaker at guard. I don't know why the Vikings don't give Jahari Evans a call. He's a ...

Re: Running Backs? How Many?

My guess is it's 3 RBs plus C.J. Ham at fullback.

Not saying that's what I want. That's just what the coaches seem to be hinting at as I listen to interviews on Vikings podcasts.

So it appears to be Cook, Murray and Boone or Thomas.

This is good news. Mack has finally bought in to the idea of playing inside, and he's been working hard to get better. He's a candidate to break out this year. We need him and the depth he brings.

Re: Preseason Week 1 Post Game Thoughts

Read more I've been listening to all the Vikings podcasts the past few weeks. Coaches and teammates alike have all said the same thing about Hughes ... they're really impressed at his ability to be learning, learning, learning, yet still play fast. He processes information and turns it into action ...

Re: Preseason Week 1 Post Game Thoughts

Ok. I looked at the play that gave them 21 pt. Looks like it was Man on the outside with a LB and Saftey in zone. Tocho flashed to the flats along with another LB (Confusion). The middle LB looks lost (he turns his back to the QB). Tocho is absolutely late in reading the move to the flats, he hesit...

Re: Easton Out for the Year

Again... Our starting oline last year are not the young, late rounders we are trying to coach up this year. The stats you use to prove that we can develop young later rounders are from an oline full of veterans and 1 3rd rounder. The one guy that you can argue for is Easton and he was the player I ...

Re: Easton Out for the Year

Evans would be my wish. Warmack would probably require a 3rd or higher. No need to make Philly richer. I rather bring in a guy that previously performed at a high level that may be on the decline. Evans would be my choice, too. I know a couple years ago we tried signing an older vet in Jake Long wh...

Re: Easton Out for the Year

Rather than continue this stupid argument about coaching, why don't we play GM and look at actual options. Option 1 -- stick with who we have I'll let others talk about that. Option 2 -- Free Agents Jahari Evans -- He's older (35) but he's available. He's also tough. From 2006 to 2012, he never miss...

Re: Easton Out for the Year

Holy hell! Where do I start correcting all the logical fallacies in this post. 1. I never said we have no chance. I am simply lamenting the fact that we passed on a chance to improve our oline greatly. 2. Our oline over performed in 2017 and that inflation is not likely to repeat itself. 3. You lam...

Re: Easton Out for the Year

Who sId they were good? Last time i checked pff had us as a below average oline. Also the eye test showed Case running for his life last season. I belive were someone in the middle. An OK line after spending 60 million or so in FA. Again, where is the proof of coaching low level drafted guys in to ...

They aren't crucifying him. It was Paxton Lynch the fans booed not Case.
Check out the previously referred article by Kinszler of the Denver Post.

Re: Easton Out for the Year

Let me clarify. We have not shown an ability to coach up lower level talent guys into starters. We poor tons of picks into O-linemen in the later rounds and the vast majority of them turn out to be over drafted at that level. When we do draft a high draft pick, we usually go for an athletic guy who...

Re: Easton Out for the Year

Except this is the NFL and its cery hard to keep teams from scoring. The eagles showed you have to have an offense to win. 2016 showed, you have to have an offense to win. Our defense in 2016 was amazing. We went 8 and 8. I dont trust the oline because we hVe never shown an ability to coach guys up...

Re: Preseason Week 1 Post Game Thoughts

He played a great defense that has had 4 years of continuity. Not sure why they are crucifying him just yet. Well, the overreactions work both ways. Keenum's camp performance was so impressive that he had teammates declaring the Broncos would score 30 points per game. My fear for Case is that he'll...
