Re: Inside Laquon Treadwell's Redemption Tour

I was answering a post about Wright. I know that. So was I. You were commenting on Wright's salary. But if you subtract the cap savings we would have gotten from cutting Treadwell, the hit for Wright wouldn't have been as hard to handle. It's all moot now. Jarius Wright is scoring touchdowns for Ca...

Maybe Wile can kick for us
I know you're being facetious ... but Wile can KICK OFF. He's said to have a big leg.

That's important. If they're worried about losing Carlson's kickoffs (no returns so far) they could go with an accurate kicker and Wile kicking off.

Re: Vikings Vs. Packers Postgame Thread

Is it time for my annual fire Mike Priefer chant again? Another head case kicker, blocked punt, below average punting. Seriously, how many times do we need to replace people until we realize it's the god damn coach. It's a great question. Special teams cost us the win today. All we needed was avera...

Re: Vikings Vs. Packers Postgame Thread

Holy crap.

I just read that Johnny Hekker hit a 20-yard field goal and an extra point for the Rams today.

Johnny Hekker is the Rams' punter.

Re: Vikings Vs. Packers Postgame Thread

Great post Kapp. I agree on all counts. I’ve backed Treadwell more than anyone and he had a great td today but those drops were brutal. And yes, cousins is no joke. A lot of complaining about the D in our chat but like I said before, penalties are what walked GB down the field half the time. We had...

free agency and salary cap set to make 3.6 million if stayed with Vikings.
Cutting Treadwell before June 1 would have saved $2.5 million against the cap.

Re: Vikings Vs. Packers Postgame Thread

It's taken me several hours to even be able to talk about this game. I feel both devastated ... and hopeful. Devastated Because our special teams stunk up Lambeau Field today in multiple ways. Punt block for a TD. Three blown field goals. Weird, questionable pooch kick that gave the Packers great fi...

Yes O'Neill did do a great job and speaking of Clay Matthews even I have to admit that wasn't roughing the passer.
It also wasn't roughing the passer on the hit on Rodgers, so I don't feel one bit bad about the call against Matthews.

Re: Vikings @ Packers Pregame Thread

It seems there are people and the media who feel this won't be a "real" win if Kizer plays. But we've beaten Rodgers when he was healthy. Once in Lambeau for the North title and also to open US Bank where he led a last minute drive with an interception on an out route that Waynes jumped. I don't wi...

Re: Vikings @ Packers Pregame Thread

I agree with you on preferring to play a healthy Rodgers. Although, I am not terribly disappointed that we will have mild weather during our trip to Lambeau field. We lucked out there. I'd call it "we finally caught a break," or more likely "the NFL finally realized they can't be THAT blatant in gi...

Re: Vikings @ Packers Pregame Thread

This will be a tough game for the Vikings, but definitely one they can win. Offensively, the Vikings will want to test the Packer secondary early and often. While their secondary is not a glaring weakness, I think this is something the Vikings can do as I don't think the Packers have a great pass r...

Re: Stafford, Lions unravel in Patricia’s dreadful debut

I don't know why, but there's something that feels strangely delightful about this. Like a kind of nostalgia. Like remembering the Vikings of the mid-to-late 1990s when the Lions were this bad on a regular basis. Maybe because it's another epic fail by a Bill Belichick disciple. Matt Patricia, welc...

Re: Vikings @ Packers Pregame Thread

It is too early to comment here. This is totally obvious, but it depends on the severity of Rogers' injury. If he is playing like he did in the 2nd half on Sunday, then I like our chances. He had zero mobility and he couldn't really step into his throws. That bodes well for us. I'm sure someone wil...

A few spots where we were good. Sheldon Richardson. A disruptive force the entire game. It's amazing to me how much better he makes the entire line. Danielle Hunter. It is obvious this guy is taking his game to another level. He did a lot of great things today, but to me the one that most brightly ...

Re: 53 man roster...Cuts and trades

Umm, You aren't making sense. I said their oline was talented. Never said they only invested in it. Washington has a lot more problems than their oline, none of which was created by drafting a decent oline. I don't understand why people believe that because Rick and Zimmer has done a good job build...
