Re: 2024 NFL Draft

If only life were that simple. And that's exactly the mindset I don't get. Do you really think KAM and KOC have these guys all ranked the same? OF COURSE NOT!!! Otherwise sure, just take whoever falls to us. But we all know that one of these QB's is the one they want above all others. If the guy KO...

Re: 2024 NFL Draft

I've just heard to many people on here and various podcasts that are dead set against trading up and I just don't agree on that logic. I'm not dead set against a trade up, but I don't think there is much to support that move this year given the nature of the draft class at QB. Hope isn't a strategy...

Re: 2024 NFL Draft

I believe Mahomes was drafted at No. 10. And without putting too much thought or research into it Josh Allen, Herbert, Burrow, Kyler Murray, Tua, Lawrence, Stafford, Goff, Stroud were all top 10 picks. And while not all those guys are game changing they're all solid to great NFL QB's. And yes, I do...

Re: 2024 NFL Draft

But I don't really understand the "don't trade up" philosophy some of you have. I just want the Vikes to get 'their guy'. That may mean we have to trade up. I haven't see anyone say the Vikings shouldn't trade up if it made the most sense to trade up. I have seen people question whether s...

Re: 2024 NFL Draft

I'm gonna chime in here with my two cents. I don't know the X's and O's of football that most of you do. So I'm not gonna get into which players I like/don't like because I honestly have no idea. But I don't really understand the "don't trade up" philosophy some of you have. I just want th...

Re: Post Draft thoughts

Wow. I didn't know about any of that. That is definitely a hard one to get past. Also, did anybody else hear that Detroit "expected" the Vikings to demand a 1st in the trade and were absolutely prepared to pay it. Some of these kids may pan out, but if these things are true it's pretty ha...

Re: Post Draft thoughts

This was by far the most disappointed I have been with my favorite team and I cannot believe we drafted a guy who was indicted by a grand jury for aggravated sexual assault against children. Not sure how people can put that aside and still like this draft. Just disgusting that Kwesi would even cons...

Re: Draft Day thread

Come on now. Cousins wasn't a high potential 'developmental' QB. Not the same scenario at all. I'm not saying Willis will even amount to anything. He may not, I have no idea. But I wouldn't mind taking the swing. I was referring more to Bridgewater and Ponder. "Swings". That resulted in C...

Re: Draft Day thread

Maybe. But seems like you gotta keep swinging for that 'franchise QB' until you have one. And at this point in the draft I feel like there's as much potential as anybody else we'd take. We tried this before. Which is why we are now stuck with Cousins. Don't restart the process now...please. Come on...

Re: Draft Day thread

At this point I say we grab Willis. Why not? 5th year option. Develop him and see if we an option besides Cousins. It's probably because teams realize he won't be any good. Maybe. But seems like you gotta keep swinging for that 'franchise QB' until you have one. And at this point in the draft I fee...

McDuffie I guess.
I was thinking that too. Imagine if we ended up with McDuffie and Willis with those pics. I know it's not likely, but in my mind that would salvage the trade.
