Re: Vikings (1-0) at Eagles (1-0) MNF Week 2

I think the Vikings are the better team but I don't trust them playing in prime time in Philly.

I think Philly takes it but obviously hope I'm wrong.

Kirk's lowest depth of target any of his seasons as a Viking: 7.9 Kirk's depth of target on Sunday: 5.1 (31st out of 33 QBs) % of passes that were deep passes last year: 12.7 % of passes deep passes on Sunday : 6.5 (23rd) Pass run ratio 2021: 58% Pass run ration on Sunday: 54% It was a much more co...

Re: Vikings vs. Packers Postgame

Was going to say the same about Smith and Hicks. Smith was an absolute force up front with Danielle. I love how those two literally just rush from anywhere. And yeah I think Hicks was a very underrated signing. He was all over the field and is just a tackling machine. I thought Phillips was very st...

Re: Vikings vs. Packers Postgame

Per Kevin Siefert: WR Adam Thielen in the locker room: "I've never been part of an offense that was just attacking, and attacking, and attacking. It didn't matter the score. It didn't matter the situation. We were attacking. It felt good. Speaking on behalf of thousands of Vikings fans: Hell y...

Re: Vikings vs. Packers Postgame

So refreshing to not have a head coach who's stuck in the 1980s.

Team looked different today. Played free. Played to strengths. Didn't play to lose at the end.

Really surprised how good the D looked. And to think we had a "defensive" head coach last year lol.

Re: Coaching search 2022 - Confirmed Interviews and Speculation

Mike Florio of PFT was just on KFAN radio. He said Harbaugh is KAM's guy and the only potential drawback is ownership and/or other front office personnel reservations about Harbaugh's issues with the front office when he was in San Francisco. Florio was unwavering in his support of a Harbaugh hire....

Re: Coaching search 2022 - Confirmed Interviews and Speculation

I listened to it as well. It is difficult not to be pumped up for a Harbaugh hire. They didn’t ask him, but he only talked about Cousins. So I assume if Harbaugh is hired Kirk is the QB for at least one year. Yeah, hard to say. But that’s just what Boone thinks. I’m of the belief that the most impo...

Re: Inside the dysfunction of the Zimmer era

Zimmer was going senile right before our eyes.

He was made for 1990s football. His style resonated less and less with each new draft class.

Really hope we find a younger (obviously) and more progressive thinking coach this time around.

Re: Cousins to start against Chicago

Why not just try to get him the record? Maybe it means a lot to him and maybe it means nothing, and maybe getting it via an extra game doesn't mean as much as getting it in the same number of games, but why not at least try in a game where they are way ahead and have literally nothing to lose? It j...

Re: Cousins to start against Chicago

So if mutiny is out of the question, then why, if you’re Kirk Cousins, don’t you get on the phone to Klint Kubiak, and talk to him about getting the record? If you want to be a Viking for life, as Cousins asserts, then why don’t you have your best receiver’s back? I appreciate your fondness for Mos...

Re: Rick and Zimmer both gone

Not great news. The replacements we hire most likely will not be as good. So standing pat and accepting mediocrity is preferable to taking a risk to try to do better? Both Spielman and Zimmer had the better part of a decade to accomplish something. Their best season bar none was 2017 with a 3rd str...
