Re: Barr

Barr is garbage. He's as physically gifted (maybe even more) as Khalil Mack but doesn't have the smarts to know how to use it. Too often he's in position to make a tackle for a loss and ends up allowing a 5-7 yard gain because of his slow reaction or a bad angle. Nice that this year he's been commit...

Re: Bills vs. Vikings Postgame Thread

I wonder if some of our offensive line woes are a continuation from losing Coach Sparano. Zimmer deserves a ton of criticism - both for having the team unprepared/unmotivated but also for the defense underperforming for a while now. The defense has been mediocre at best since the second half of the ...

Re: Our record this season

I say 11-4-1 Losses at LA, Philly and New England and 50/50 when the Saints & The Packers come to town. Other than that, we win. :smilevike: LA looks tough - especially since we're on the road on a Thursday night game (low chance to win as the away team on Thursday regardless of the opponent). Phil...

Re: Vikings Vs. Packers Postgame Thread

Would love to see the "hold" that Smith committed to get that INT called back. It seemed odd how late that flag came in. Anyone see it live or have a video? For some reason, they never showed a replay... Really want to see it too. The announcers acted like it was obvious and didn't need a replay bu...

Re: Vikings Vs. Packers Postgame Thread

Initial overreaction for me is over... this game showed me that Cousins is a baller and can keep us in ANY game for the next 3 years even when our D looks suspect or our ST leaves 16 points off the board. That's a good feeling. As for Treadwell - the team will rally and root for him. Not so much Car...

Jarius Wright would have been a handy player to have around today, eh?
Yes. Hindsight seems to show us we should have paid Wright and moved Treadwell down the depth chart. Or, heck, even keeping Kendall Wright could have been the right move.

Re: Vikings Vs. Packers Postgame Thread

1. Sign Dan Bailey tonight.
2. We should have tried harder for the TD at the end of OT. Our offense was cruising. Carlson was clearly not.
3. Cousins is a great QB and worth all the money we gave him.

Re: Vikings @ Packers Pregame Thread

So I know this doesn't make any bit of difference but Cousins outplayed Rodgers the last time they played each other: Week 11 2016 | Washington 42, Green Bay 24 Cousins: 21/30, 375 yards, 3 TDs, 0 INTs, 145.8 rating Rodgers: 26/41, 351 yards, 3 TDs, 0 INTs, 115 rating Looks like a blowout but it was...

Re: Vikings @ Packers Pregame Thread

It seems there are people and the media who feel this won't be a "real" win if Kizer plays. But we've beaten Rodgers when he was healthy. Once in Lambeau for the North title and also to open US Bank where he led a last minute drive with an interception on an out route that Waynes jumped. In 2016 Rh...

Re: Pete Morelli: Anthony Barr’s hit on Aaron Rodgers would be a penalty this year

Dumb rule. I get that the NFL wants to limit the amount of injuries to the faces of the business, but they don't seem to understand that every new rule that favors QBs seems to encourage QBs to get riskier and riskier outside the pocket which is actually getting them more injured. Rodgers is the big...

Re: Vikings sign QB- Kirk Cousins to a 3 year, ~$86 million

Now I was impressed by Kirks presser but after watching a couple of other interviews, he seems to say almost the exact same thing so to me, some answers seem very rehearsed. It's probably only me but I get a sense of fakeness when listening to him talk at times. Almost like listening to a really go...

Re: 2018 Free Agency

FWIW, I think GB is in decline. They've added no real talent, have only one legitimate WR, and their defense continues to decline. It's all about Rogers and thats it, but he has come down to earth a bit from 5 years ago. They could be a 3rd place team in this division next year if Bears or Lions be...

Re: 2018 Free Agency

If we're able to get Cousins, Richardson, and Siemian that would be a fantastic free agency. Plus we can mainly focus on OL and developmental guys in the draft. Also, if the Siemian reports are correct, we essentially traded Keenum, Bradford, Bridgewater, and a 5th rounder for Cousins, Siemian, a 3...

Re: Jet cashes in: 4 years $30 million with SF

Loved Jet on the Vikings. He got knocked around so much each game but always seemed to hop right back up. That being said, I'm glad someone else is paying him that kind of money because we can get similar production from a late round RB.
