Re: Vikings Draft Picks
Well, we probably weren't going to see a bunch of guys being drafted where everyone was thinking they were going to start - we have a lot of positions that are very adequately filled, and I'd say offensive line is one of the only places where we had any major chance to have drafted someone who was a...

Re: Mike Hughes
I think right now, Hughes is excellent for when we potentially face a situation that calls for 4 CBs, which might be more and more often going forward as the NFL continues to demand more coverage. We certainly could have used more depth at CB against the Eagles (or the Patriots if we'd faced them), ...

Re: 2018 Vikings Free Agency Thread
Sounds like he went undrafted because he failed the drug test at the combine. Holton Hill Reportedly Failed Drug Test at Combine I figured. You'd think this wouldn't be such a controversial issue in 2018, but I know it has been a big deal and I guess I can see it because your employer probably thin...

Re: 2018 Vikings Free Agency Thread
After seeing what's happened and basically seeing how this team's roster is going to end up looking like and having the time to process all of it, I have to say that I'm pretty happy with all of it. We spent a lot of money, almost all of it, but we got the best quarterback in the lot that we could h...

Re: New OC Thread
Agreed, and you'd be silly to offer crazy money for an offensive coordinator anyways even if you were to outspend the other team's HC offer. Really, the only team that seems to retain their coordinators is the Patriots, and you can probably guess why.

Re: Next years QB
Bridgewater's "game" so far has been average at best. I think that is pretty obvious. So I'm not sure what there is to argue there. He's thrown 28 TDs to 21 INTs in his first two years. It's not like he was some elite QB before this injury. He's as big of a gamble as they come right now. ...

Re: Keep or cut: Latavius Murray
Keep. I think he showed that he has some value, and while I do believe in the idea of having a "changeup" running back who is drastically different from your other running back(s), I also recognize that both Murray and Cook are very versatile which is arguably better. They have different s...

Re: Next years QB
Out of what I posted, all you saw was the stuff about the Cincy game? I was using the "happy feet" thing as an example. Is he going to be shaky in the pocket because of the injury? And I truly think it's hilarious that you're using Bradfords game vs Chicago as part of this argument....

Re: Biggest Need On The Team?
Agreed that CB is one of the least concerns. I'd say almost every other position is worthy of mention ahead of CB because we have so much depth at the position. Right now, we have Rhodes and Waynes projected as the two primaries and I think Mack Alexander is going to start getting more and more snap...

Re: New OC Thread
Sounds like we're stacking the QB solutions brain trust/think tank and potentially preparing for DeFilipo's exit as someone's hc next year. I might be reading too far into that last thought. I like what Spielman is doing. Get all the best opinions on QB's in one room and lets figure this thing out....

Re: New OC Thread
This roster isn't that old... On offense you have an aged player in Berger at RG. That's it. Rudolph is probably "middle aged" in NFL terms. Reiff was drafted the same year as Kalil, so there is still some shelf life there, plus he plays Tackle, not RB so could go for awhile yet. On Defen...

Re: Next years QB
then he's more than viable as a starting QB, He is?? How do you know this? We know what Case, Bradford, Cousins and Foles can do. We have no idea how Teddy will be. Can he sit in the pocket? Is he going to get happy feet like when he played Cincy this year? Can he take hits, etc. etc. I'm not sure ...

Re: Next years QB
Teddy's good for a 3/2 TD/INT ratio, and he has been that since day one pretty much. I'm not sure what to think about him making progress, but if he can still go - and it seems like the Vikings front office believes he does - then he's more than viable as a starting QB, and he has more advanced weap...

Re: New OC Thread
Really happy about us picking up DeFilippo - Really anxious to see what he can bring to the table with our QBs, also wanting to see what direction we go in, I know Rick was just saying a while back that the new OC would have significant input on where we go at the position, and I'm just wondering wh...
