Re: Did the Vikings cut Kluwe because of what he says?

If Kluwe wasn't such a social media star, the NFL world wouldn't be so quick to suggest it was more to do with off the field matters. He hasn't been performing for the last couple of seasons yet the non-NFL media seem to overlook this totally and hit on that it has to be due to his outspoken support...

Re: How long have you been a "REAL" Viking fan?

Only since 2010.

Seen every game since and although the majority has been dire, I absolutely love it.

Re: Next Three Years

I think the Bears need a clear out of an aging team and feel that they will regress further before improving. I'm not a Cutler fan. The Lions had a ridiculously bad year in 2012 but I don't see why as they have a decent enough roster. A flashback to the not so long ago bad years? Maybe. They will im...

Re: Ponder's QBR

We were so run heavy last year that I feel Ponders stats don't reflect his performances in general. In only a few games did he not perform well enough to do what was asked of him. Whilst he didn't stand out I think it'd be unfair to suggest that he under performed or was a hindrance to the team. A g...

Re: Carlson restructures

I think its a brilliant move to resign/restructure the pair of them. Everyone knows that Simpson has had his moments and Carlson has been productive before. For him to restructure says a lot about the man and that's the type of guy I want in the team. Saying that, he needs a better year this time ro...

Re: Speilman: Build thru the draft?

Are your comparing to the WR position or QB position? If so, that is completely unfair. neither of the positions you listed are nearly as difficult and complex as the WR or QB position. All a kicker does is kick! A left tackle has to be able to read defenses and block. A safety has to read offense ...

Re: Harvin traded

I'm delighted with the outcome of it. If RS has a draft anywhere near as successful as last year it will help us improve on 2012 even without PH. He wanted out. Various reports suggest he hasn't been acting as a good team player. We won games at the end of the season without him. He would walk next ...

Well deserved. If we had a passing QB just imagine what his stats would be like!

Re: Introduction from Afar

Classic stadium, one of my favourite, though I appreciate the resentment stemming from a Yorkshire derby. I have bad memories of the Galpharm, we could never pick up a result, only stuffing you at home. Don't get me started, currently the club's lead by a clueless regime, we're all sickened by the ...

Re: Introduction from Afar

Im certainly seeing a massive upward trend in interest in the NFL over here. Theres certainly a lot more fans than there was in the 90's. Plus bars and pubs round here are showing games a lot more frequently. Theres even one bar near me that shows all sunday games on different screens using gamepas...

Re: Introduction from Afar

You got it. Always up for a jar. The London games atmosphere is always bad, although no sure whether this is from watching years of Leeds at Elland Road. It's a bit worrying thinking of a Viking home game being played in a graveyard. I doubt the crowd will be given an assist for a forced big ben ti...

Re: Tebow to Vikings?

I wouldn't want to due to my belief that you need a good passing QB to win the SB. That aside, Tebow couldn't ask for a better team to fit into. If I were him and we came knocking, I'd be on the plane. A playoff quality team that rely on not turning the ball over and just go looking for 10 yards eve...

Will be flying home (Yorkshire) from Brisbane to get down to London and watch the game. Long way to go but wouldn't miss it for the world. Four of us will be there for the entire weekend.

Re: Your favorite Viking play of the Year?

I'm not going to go for one of Peterson's many ridiculous runs this year. The 3rd and 27 was brilliant. Audie Cole's two plays of perfection has to be ignored as it was garbage time in preseason so I'm going for an odd one. Ponders basketball attempt that was tipped but somehow, miraculously caught ...
