Re: Vikings @ 49er's Gameday Discussion Thread -- Week 1
Atleast our secondary isn't terrible outside of our safety opposite of Harrison...that's all I can say that was good about this game.

Re: Teddy Bridgewater
Don't get me wrong, right now Cassel is the better bet. In no way am I discrediting his play Sunday..But I still think it's fair to say, based on all past performances, Bridgewater would of handled the pressure just fine too.

Re: Vikings @ Rams Game Day Discussion Thread -- Week 1
That quote by Zimmer is pretty telling of our previous coaching staff tbh. Frazier and Co. would never say anything like this in the media, it's really refreshing Zimmer does

Re: ReFo: Vikings @ Rams, Week 1
Still rocking JRob in my avatar for a reason. I think he was a product of a terrible coach in Frazier. If he gets Zimmers techniques down he can be a good #2 CB. He has the raw ability to reach a high level of play.

Re: I believe the Vikings are a playoff caliber team
I'm buying in. Since OTAs the team has had a different vibe. They really believe they can be champions, I love the intensity Zimmer brings.
It'll be a tough road, but we have the "rough draft" talent to make a playoff push. And this time it won't be a fluke on AP's back, it'll be as a team.

Blowouts don't "just happen". Playoff teams stomp a team like the Rams yesterday.

Re: Teddy Bridgewater
But you don't know that. He may be more mobile, but half the job in avoiding the rush is recognizing pre-snap where pressure is coming from and adjusting protection. Could Teddy do that as well as Cassel right now? Doubtful. Except I do know that. He was like it in college, continued into the prese...

Re: Teddy Bridgewater
As optimistic as i am about him my gut says Teddy might have been in big trouble yesterday, all other things being equal. It could have been a very rude welcome to the regular season and a starting NFL defense. Cassel did a good job with what he was allowed to do, so I don't know why you would even...

Re: Who would you start in Week 1?
Glazer reporting Cassel has been named starter for week 1. And that's totally okay. It's pretty hard to argue for Teddy to start with the way Cassel has been playing (even if i think their playing time has given similiar results). I would of started Teddy. But I'm also not the coaching staff and se...

Re: How many Vikings wins this year.
6 to 10 games. Mostly depending on the whole Cassel/Teddy roundabout and if our defense adapts to Zimmers scheme faster then anticipated.

Re: Who would you start in Week 1?
Cassel will start. Should he? I don't think so. Actually, what I think is everyone and their mother knows Teddy will get some playing time this season unless Cassel has a Pro-Bowl year again. The chances of that are much less likely of happening then Teddy taking the league by storm. Our team is jus...

Re: Teddy Bridgewater
http://gamedayr.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/jon-bostic-teddy-bridgewater-hit.jpg I don't know if this qualifies as an NFL hit. The hitter is in the NFL, so it probably does. He didn't come out of the game after this one, and marched down the field for a TD. After that hit he took over the game v...

Re: Preseason game #2: Vikings - Cardinals game thread 8/16
Was awesome seeing him on that last play putting a guy in position from the sideline. Unlike that twit Frazier who watches his team line up incorrectly, does nothing, not even using his timeout, just watches them give up a last second touchdown. :smilevike: Then proceeds the review the tape to find...

Zimmer shows passion. Players fired up over a preseason win. That's awesome.
Gotta love Teddy. Hopefully he gets the start next week.
