Re: An Adventure in Minnesota

Awesome write up, Cliff. Enjoyed your response, too, PHP. Not much to add, except that I was nodding to everything you both wrote. I went to my first Vikings game last year with my brother who lives in NJ. We grew up outside of the Twin Cities and in one of the first photos we have of us we're dress...

Re: Vikings at Jets pregame thread

This feels like a tough one and an important one. I want to see the defense continue to get its swagger back. We're without Hughes, but Trae is back and should be fully recovered by now. Haven't heard about Dejo, but Harris and Iloka filled in nicely last week. I'm more worried about the trenches--H...

Re: Cardinals Postgame Thread

What I hate most about the Vikings right now, besides having to watch games streamed on my computer, is that once we get a lead, they take their foot off the gas on both offense and defense. There seems to be no killer instinct. Agreed. Zimm seems really conservative on this point. He seems to be t...

The Vikings fear Mike Hughes tore his ACL on Sunday, according to a league source. He'll have a MRI tomorrow to confirm.

Re: Fustrated with lack of changes on Oline

This collective frustration among the fanbase has existed for at least the past 3-4 years. Rick's philosophy regarding the OL seems to be that it is not a position that he wants to devote much draft capital towards. He has devoted some free agency capital to the position (Remmers and Reiff). These a...

Re: Kickers

Not sure, but the Houston kicker just missed one too.

Anyone have the league stats compared to other seasons. It does seem to be higher, just from a cursory glance.

Re: Eagles Postgame Thread

Two year lurker but never signed up to these boards until a couple of weeks ago. Anyhow, the Eagles aren't the same team as last season but beating the defending champs on the road is big. Hopefully they use this as a rallying point and gets them on a winning streak. Good first post. I agree. This ...

Linval had a monster game. His TD run will be one of the season's highlights.

Agree on most points, but ST? We lost to GB due to a blocked punt for a TD and 3! missed FGs. That's an F for me.

I think I can tell from the photo that they harvested from his hamstring... definitely an autograft/ autograph.

Re: Vikings @ Eagles Pregame Thread

 I should've known better than to ask this crew! Also, it's highly unlikely anyone outside of the organization knows this and given Zim's penchant for keeping mum on player injuries, I would guess this info is not widely known. So my speculation is that if his hamstring injury is in the same le...

Anyone happen to know how he had his ACL reconstructed? Whether they harvested his new one from his hamstring or his patella tendon? If the former, this wouldn't be terribly surprising. (I'm assuming he did autograft and not allograft).

Re: Barr

Why all the negativity just towards Barr? He stood out maybe in a not good way yesterday, but he was far from alone IMHO. Sendejo blows into the backfield and completely whiffs on what should have been a tackle for a loss. Waynes drops what should have been an INT. Someone not named Barr released a...
