Re: Good game Viking fans

I was at Lambeau with my 15-year-old son for the second year in a row. We were sitting on the Packers side of the field on the 50 yard line (I mention that only because we were mostly among Packers fans -- the Vikings side of the field had a significantly higher percentage of Vikings fans). I was w...

We officially signed Bailey. Waived Coley
Wow. Many thought it would be Roc. I interpret this to mean: 1) either they want to make sure Dalvin's fully recovered 2) they simply think Roc is a more special talent at RB than Coley is at WR.

Glad Bailey is officially signed.

Re: The Kicker...AGAIN! *Update* Vikings Just signed Bailey

Good article on Daily Norseman that settled my lingering doubts about why he was cut by the Cowboys: But back to the “fit our cap, fit our team better.” Bailey’s contract was $22.5 million and that would give him $3.4 million for the next three seasons. And let’s be honest, Jones isn’t trying to pay...

Re: Vikings Vs. Packers Postgame Thread

RE: Carlson.

What concerns me most is that he often isn't even close with his kicks and that is a somewhat common occurrence with him. It's not that he's just missing, it's that he's missing wide right. It just doesn't instill any confidence at all.

Re: Vikings Vs. Packers Postgame Thread

I watched Zimmer’s presser. He spoke very candidly about GB’s line holding and it not being called. He said they made adjustments at half. Couple of random thoughts: Dalvin Cook isn’t standing out so far this year like he did last season. Is it our OL? Still recovering from knee surgery? Not sure, b...

Re: Vikings Vs. Packers Postgame Thread

My wife was saying hey we can't lose.. I said slow ur roll they can block it and run it back! That thought did cross my mind. The tragic quality of this franchise is haunting at times. Mel posted this image on her board and I love it: https://i.redditmedia.com/kS9DYYS9ytU3tij8i4krqkhEve8zpO1uVMk5x2...

Re: Vikings Vs. Packers Postgame Thread

Agreed and it's nice to see an offense like that. I see as many reasons for optimism as pessimism after this game (and vice versa, of course). It was that kind of performance. Yes. When they were lining up for the final FG try I said to myself, "well, at least we didn't lose to GB. I can live with ...

Re: Vikings Vs. Packers Postgame Thread

Crazy game.

My one silver lining to the storm clouds? I believe that with Cousins, Thielen and Diggs we finally have an Offense that can put up points in a hurry when it needs to. There's a lot of season left to play.

Re: Mike Zimmer opens up about health, retirement, Eagles, Tony Sparano, quarterbacks and what keeps him going

Similar to your take. For one, I was just excited to see it on my 60" television. So much so that I went ahead and booked Sunday Ticket for the season. I'm no longer the poor lad with vows of asceticism that I once was and life is too short to not follow your bliss. :D I loved seeing the boys back i...

Re: Vikings @ Packers Pregame Thread

@ Purple Must Reign: it did feel perfectly scripted, and I don't tend to buy into conspiracies either. Even in the first quarter I started thinking that--just the way the Bears came out so hot and certainly upset what Vegas had expected. If there is an Illuminati type of thing with the NFL it's comi...

Re: Game Day Chat or Game Day Thread?

Thanks for the responses so far. My only beef is that sometimes the messages can come in bunches and scroll down quickly but I suppose that's still no different than a thread. You could refresh a thread and there be 10 or so posts that you have to go through. Yes, exactly. The other issue I've noti...

We've actually used it during a regular season game now with a decent number of people on at once.

Does everyone still feel the same? Chat better than thread on game day?
So much better. Less clunky, quicker, better suited to the needs of game day communication.

Re: Mike Zimmer opens up about health, retirement, Eagles, Tony Sparano, quarterbacks and what keeps him going

Great read, Jim. Nice to see behind the curtain a bit and remember how intense and personal it is for Zimmer. He would never mention it in an interview, but I'd love to know what he thought of Shurmur's interviews with the NYG leading up to the NFCCG. Seems like a messed up policy.

I think I jinxed Keenum. 3 picks so far
Ha ha, nah, that's just Keenum. He's a gambler. I think that was a major point against him in Zimmer's estimation. Cousins lines up much better with what Zim looks for in a QB.
