Re: Vikings kicker Blair Walsh shakes off preseason slump
I wouldn't worry at this point. From what I hear, the hold was bad on the missed 51 yarder. Can't explain the extra point, but you'd have to think something went wrong. Even bad kickers can nail 35 yarders all day long.

Re: What a difference a Coach (ing staff) makes ...
Offense looks good. Game changes quite a bit when AP is in. Norv will put the guys in the right position. Defense looks much improved. I don't think Zimmer will expose our true colors until the regular season. That being said, I think we should be very happy with what we are seeing. Guys are getting...

Re: Rodney Smith
Rodney Smith looked pretty good last night. Even though he didn't play with the starters, he made some great catches. He looked like Teddy's favorite for sure. Thelien (excuse my spelling), has looked good as well, but had that huge TD drop last night. It will be interesting to see who steals the la...

Re: Turner has Bridgewater on Fast Track
I have read thru this entire thread. First off, why are we wasting time arguing about what people said about Ponder when he was drafted? That is all in the past... we don't even have the same coaches here. There is really NO way to compare Ponder to Bridgewater unless they were in the same draft cla...

Re: elite jersey question
I'd love to see the Throwbacks from 2011 redesigned and showcased by Nike. I'd buy one. IMO, best looking uni we have ever had.

Re: Adrian Peterson needs to stop talking to the media
He has been the best RB (maybe best player) in the NFL since 2007. He has only reached the playoffs a few times and has gotten close once. He has the right to say what he wants. The minute you start to doubt him he will kick you right in the gut. Trust me, we would be begging to have him back if he ...

Re: Chad Greenway: Been Bad At Football For Three Years
I don't think Greenway is a leader among LBs. I think hes just good enough, but he has to have a supporting group of LBs around him. Back when our defense was top 5, he had playmakers all around him. EJ Henderson, Leber, Both williams on the line, Jared Allen, antoine, etc... Our defense has been te...

Re: Who Are The Minnesota Vikings "Big Three?"
Hard to name a big three combining both sides of the ball considering the "big three" should be playing/working together on the court/field. Offensive big 3 Adrian CP84 Rudolph Defensive big 3 Harrison Greenway (eventually/hopfully Anthony Barr fills this spot) Brian Robison (experience, v...

Re: Vikings have big hopes for McKinnon
Offseason talk is funny. I am a realist, truly a realist but my god some of you "vikings fans" sound like you hate the team. Have faith, any team can win on Sunday. McKinnon looks like he will be very productive. I hate using the word athletic (they should all be athletic, they ARE athlete...

Re: Bridgewater starts when?
It will be interesting to see who has the better training camp. You can't NOT start Teddy if he truly is the better player. Cassel was one of the reasons we won games last year, but only a few. If we had an established vet who wins games, sure you sit Teddy year one. It started with Flacco and Ryan,...

Re: Zimmer on the challenge of drafting good safeties
Hopefully Zimmer can work his magic with some of these guys in the secondary. Flex players are huge, especially with a healthy roster. I can't wait to see how Harrison responds to Zimmers defense.
D-Line will be fun to watch as well.

Re: T - Jack
To be honest, I was pissed for about 5 minutes when we drafted AP. I knew it was a possibility before the draft, but thought Chester would be better anyways. After his first TD, it was very clear we had something special.
Lets hope we can strike gold again this year.

Re: Do you want Johnny Manziel at #8?
It will be Bortles or Manziel at number 8. I'm fine with either one. Johnny and AP would be a very dangerous duo (until Johnny gets hurt). I wouldn't mind drafting Johnny. If he pays off it could be a HUGE deal. I also wouldn't mind Bortles. With the best RB in the game, we don't NEED a scrambling Q...

Re: Everson Griffen re-signed to 5 year deal.
People tend to think that their "gut instincts" set them apart from everyone else when debating or discussing the future of an NFL player. My gut has been telling me Griffen will be a stud. He is a great example of a raw kid coming into the league, playing under a vet, and earning himself ...

Re: Why I think Ponder needs to sit a game
I have been a Ponder supporter since we drafted him. I am leaning towards hopping OFF of the Ponder bus. He showed quite a bit of promise last year, I was hoping to see him pick up where he left off last year. It looks as if he is trying to hard and is scared. We all know what Cassel looks like as a...
