Re: Lewis Cine

Stump I opened this one comment from you. I thought it would be safe. In the interview with Sherman IIRC Cine mentioned he had pretty much been promised to be picked by the team that had the 27th pick and they traded out of it. That was Tampa Bay. So it seems incredibly likely that he would have be...

Re: Lewis Cine

Definitely needed a safety. How about taking the top ranked safety? Nope, let's get fancy. As usual. Didn’t you use to call Captain Munnerlyn a “no good slot midget” and linval Joseph a “fat guy with a bullet in his leg” years ago? You gotta come up with a new name for Cine now. Because when you do...

Re: Draft Day thread

In Kwesi's post draft interview he addressed the issue of trading within the division very well IMO. He said you have to consider the player your opponent is going to get and that you will have to play against him twice every season, but since they can trade with someone else to get that same playe...

Re: Draft Day thread

Spielman 2.0, with a spreadsheet. Speak a lot, say nothing. At least Kweesi has some numbers somewhere to justify whatever he does. Whether it works out or not. Don't get me started on KOC. (Childress 2.0) Boy I missed your negativity  Not sure why. The front office and coaching should have mo...

Re: Draft Day thread

Listening to KOC and Kweesi talk on KFAN does not inspire confidence. We may be on our way to Jets/Lions/Jags territory before long. Spielman 2.0, with a spreadsheet. Speak a lot, say nothing. At least Kweesi has some numbers somewhere to justify whatever he does. Whether it works out or not. Don't...

Re: Lewis Cine

Definitely needed a safety. How about taking the top ranked safety? Nope, let's get fancy. As usual. That top ranked safety had to be timed by Sundial. Maybe that's why we didn't take him. We didn't take him because we needed to trade down to try and fill out a horribly depleted defensive depth cha...

Re: Baker Mayfield

Uhhh because thats the most recent comparison to what they've done and what Zimmer has done? I've said multiple times, this league is all about "what have you done for me lately". And lately, Zimmer has been a pis# poor coach in multiple facets. On top of it, you're using statistics from ...

Re: Andrew Booth

Booth was diagnosed with Osgood-Schlatter Disease as a child, which causes pain and swelling in the area below the knee. He had tendinitis in his knee in high school and underwent surgery in January 2020 on his right patellar tendon. From nfl.com draft profile. Let's hope it's never a factor. But s...

Re: Draft Day thread

Guess our new GM found Slick Rick's "how to trade down and acquire more picks" notepad when he showed up.

Re: Draft Day thread

I love Cine’s toughness and aggression. I dig this pick. Four players that played in front of him on defense last year were drafted ahead of him...in this draft. Definitely points to what the new defense is going to look like. But also points to the new look defense taking some time and personnel t...

Re: Draft Day thread

We tried this before. Which is why we are now stuck with Cousins. Don't restart the process now...please. Come on now. Cousins wasn't a high potential 'developmental' QB. Not the same scenario at all. I'm not saying Willis will even amount to anything. He may not, I have no idea. But I wouldn't min...

Re: Draft Day thread

It's probably because teams realize he won't be any good. Maybe. But seems like you gotta keep swinging for that 'franchise QB' until you have one. And at this point in the draft I feel like there's as much potential as anybody else we'd take. We tried this before. Which is why we are now stuck wit...

Re: Draft Day thread

Sounds like a QB the Vikings would draft to me.
GB drafts a DT/LB. Det drafts WR.
Maybe we traded back so we can draft to counter their picks! Next level! Trade in your division, and then counter draft later! Has this been done before?! They didn't know what was going to hit them.

Re: Draft Day thread

The consensus this year among scouts and GMs — not the dudes who do mock drafts — is that maybe, MAYBE 15-18 players actually have as much as a first-round grade.
So we trade out of a position to get any of those players. :govikes:
