Re: Will the Vikings Win 9 Games Or More?

I went 8-8 I think the D overall will take a step back based on how they finished last season, and the O will take a step forward with an improvement from their disaster of an OL, Bradford with a year under his belt, and a better running game a step forward and a step back should put them right whe...

Re: Cordarrelle Patterson watch WEEK 5

I think he gets a lot of touches Sunday. I would say 7 looks in the passing game, and 2-3 running plays. That is if Digsy doesn't play. Could we see CP84 in the end zone, on a non return?

Don't always comment on this thread, usually lurk. But keep up the good work. Lack of comments, don't equal lack of appreciation. :D

Re: 2nd Quarter Predictions

Of the upcoming 4 opponents, the Eagles are by far the most prolific on offense, ranking 2nd in the NFL at 30.7 PPG. They are equally impressive defensively, giving up an average of 9 PPG, good for best in the league (having played one less game than the Vikings). If I had to pick a loss, that woul...

Re: Kudos to Zimmer and a thought about Bradford

I think Bradford is a great fit for Norv's offensive system and we are seeing it play out so far this season. Teddy looked like he was getting better but Bradford is executing the offense better than Teddy had been. Bradford has much more Aikman and Rivers in him than Teddy does. If Bradford keeps ...

that's pretty darn good for a game.
Not very often you see a game with zero sacks by both teams. And the Vikings didn't have to throw the ball to the ground to avoid! Ha

Re: 2nd Quarter Predictions

I picked 3-1, but the upcoming 4 games aren't very daunting. They could wind up 8-0, the way this defense has made offenses look ugly. But they wont run the table, and maybe a humbling loss might start a serious fire. Before the season started, I had them 13-3. And I still think that could be realis...

Re: Thoughts on turning Cam Newton into Fig Newton

Yeah that was the defense that brought me over.. John Randle and company.. I think the Panthers have a real good defense and a few things on offense that create big problems. Cam is a freak at 6-5 what 260 ? runs like a deer .. can throw if you give him a clean pocket. I love Olsen and they have so...

Re: Thoughts on turning Cam Newton into Fig Newton

I certainly believe those were 2 quality victories. I had doubts about beating GB just because they struggled vs the Titans, but I felt they matched up well with the Panthers and the outcome didn't suprise me....as much as the path to it did. - I think any team that makes the playoffs has to be con...

Re: Thoughts on turning Cam Newton into Fig Newton

To be fair, we have some smart fans here. I don't think anyone here really believed the Packers were Superbowl contenders, not with how hot and cold Rodgers has been and not with their Best defense of all time riddled with no injuries and not being able to stop the Lions. And the same goes for the ...

Re: Thoughts on turning Cam Newton into Fig Newton

I'm guessing it's more a question of seeing what the opponent is doing and then taking it away rather than a tactic to lull them into a false sense of confidence. Players start adjusting to the opponents they're matched up against. Coaches see what the other team is actually doing as opposed to wha...
