Re: Vikings sign QB- Kirk Cousins to a 3 year, ~$86 million

Again I don’t buy the whole “saints second half thing”. We had a punt blocked and threw a pick all inside the 50 and they got 2 tds off of it. How is that on the defense. We only gave up one true TD that game. The rest were caused by bonehead plays. Philly yeah they played horrible but many like to...

Re: Wright Released

Rice had one good season and Brett Favre was throwing him the ball. What I'm hoping is that cousins can do what Favre clearly did for Rice in 2009 - play to Treadwells strengths. Understand he's the kind of player you let fight for the ball. It won't always be a wide open look for him. The problem ...

Re: Vikings sign QB- Kirk Cousins to a 3 year, ~$86 million

Zimmer made the comment that he might be out of a job if he doesn't get QB right this time around and he could be right (though if he keeps getting double digit wins it'll be pretty tough to see him go). I think he took the safest bet and hopefully in the end it works out. I think he should be fine...

Re: 2018 Free Agency

Lets put it this way, if his contract wasn't fully guaranteed with all the clauses (no trade, no tag, etc.) I don't think he would be here. Nor do I think he would have signed a longer deal. It's pretty hard to say it's not about the money when you sign a gigantic and rather lopsided contract. I do...

Re: [Rumor] Kirk Cousins a Vikings for 27 million/year

Per Cousins' agent, they didn't take the best offer. "Not even close." My guess is the Jets or Browns offered more. Probably agent-speak with a grain of truth. Yeah, I mean on some level these guys have to know that taking a huge contract with a bad team means they'll probably nev...

Re: [Rumor] Kirk Cousins a Vikings for 27 million/year

After taking some time to think about the signing I have to say I'm not thrilled about it. Teddy, Sam, Cousins, Keenum, they're all some what similar in talent with keenum having the lowest ceiling so we essentially paid the most for the healthiest guy and given that it's the NFL and one good hit (o...

Re: Biggest Need On The Team?

I'm sort of surprised no one said CB. With Rhodes shutting down his guy more often than not, Waynes / Newman and who ever else have been roasted. It'd be much better for our D if we had a second guy who could make it a bit more difficult to get completions. We can stop the run, Rhodes can shut down ...

Re: New OC Thread

This is so frustrating, the lack of any talent available at OC at all right now when we need one. People are legitimately excited about Bevell. Why can't we ever catch a break. :(

Re: Next years QB

So you don't think the injury issues with the line affected anything?? The last 2 games Hill was like a revolving door and the last game had a PFF rating of 33. Remmers wasnt any better at left guard. No, I think they did have an effect, but that isn't necessarily an excuse. Most QBs at the pro lev...

Re: Next years QB

Where do you come up with Case isnt a good QB? From a few games? Thats like saying our entire D suck cause of the last 6 quarters. Actually there is quite a lot of evidence he isn't a very good QB, like multiple years worth. Then you look at how effective he was in our losses this year and you can ...

Re: New OC Thread

Turner led them to a 5-0 start! He’s always been a solid OC in previous years when Hes had something to work with . You wanna go back to Shurmurs career? Ok. What has he done ever outside of this year? Please enlighten me. Would I like to keep him? Yeah because he knows this team but the guy has ha...

And then get rid of their QB...only the Vikings would do something like that.
The 2000 Ravens won the superbowl and then dumped trent dilfer because it was plain as day (like with keenum) he wasn't a good QB.

Re: New OC Thread

Norv started last year and the abruptly quit. Then Shurmur had to pick up the pieces. How do you not remember that or acknowledge that? Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk I did as stated above. And it's not like Shurmur made any kind of drastic turn around after Turner quit. They were still a bott...
