Re: Vikings Draft Picks
I like O'Neil as a developmental prospect but this team needed a guy who could start day one. Funny how quickly teams at the top of round two realized the good offensive linemen weren't going to last. Jamaal Stephenson meanwhile wants an explanation.

Re: 2018 NFL Draft Thread
@Andrew_Krammer 35m Jamaal Stephenson, Vikings’ director of college scouting: It really was about taking the best offensive lineman available (at pick 62). Never seen this many guards go so early. Thats an alarming statement. That's a stunning admission. Let's just say Scott Studwell doesn't make t...

Re: Vikings Draft Picks
Thought this was interesting; “I’ve always kind of tinkered around with maybe having one safety and four corners – things like that,” Zimmer said. “It was give us some flexibility in what we do with some of the nickel packages.” So they'd take Sendejo out for Hughes? Bold strategy Cotton. If that's...

Re: 2018 NFL Draft Thread
Not a fan of the Mike Hughes pick. Don't see how you can pass up Josh Jackson or Will Hernandez in that situation. Hell, Isaiah Oliver or Harold Landry would have been better picks.
Let's hope we don't trade the farm to move up in the draft. We still have a lot of needs.

Re: 2018 Free Agency
Hopefully our team takes a look at the second wave of free agency soonish. There are some guys out there who could be signed cheap for competition/depth roles. I would like to see the team try for Jack Mewhort, D.J. Fluker, and/or Matt Slauson for interior depth. Darrell Williams and Austin Howard w...

Re: Case Keenum is now a Denver Bronco, $18-20M per year
Case will always have my respect and appreciate for handling the battle of attrition we went through this year. His professionalism was outstanding. At the end of the day, I wish Case all the best. I fear though Case has not landed in the best situation. He has good skill position players in Denver,...

Re: Vikings sign QB- Kirk Cousins to a 3 year, ~$86 million
People need to realize that the season should not be Super Bowl or bust. On paper, this team should be in contention for the Super Bowl. Unfortunately, the games are not played on paper. Essentially, this move is about stability at QB and the chance to compete for the playoffs and beyond. It is not ...

Re: Wright Released
It would be nice if Treadwell had a Sidney Rice type of third year. Maybe not quite the same production given who is in front of him but I think they are similar receivers in that they're bigger WR's who aren't going to outrun you but perhaps can out body/jump you. I guess what I'm saying is there ...

Re: New OC Thread
I am excited by this hiring. I want an OC who actually has the stones to play aggressive football. We better be doing it. He is innovative -I am sure he will mesh nicely with our west coast core. Regarding Nick Foles - I would pass. We cannot simply afford to keep giving away draft capital to fill i...

Re: Time to move on from Waynes
If we could somehow get another lock down corner across from Rhodes that would be amazing. Not sure I believe in Trae Waynes as long-term starter, but there is zero reason to move on from him at this point in time. I don't buy PFF's rating on Mackensie Alexander's coverage this season. He didn't sur...

Re: 2018 Vikings Free Agents
Pipe dream but if we could both sign Teddy and Sam Bradford with their combined cap space taking 20 million or under we would be in great shape. Not sure what to think about Case Keenum, but I don't want us franchising him for 23 million. I wouldn't mind Case and Teddy next season. Honestly, as long...

Re: Next years QB
Kirk Cousins might be the best bet for us. I wouldn't mind Alex Smith. I personally don't think it would be wise to franchise Keenum. No way we franchise Bradford or Teddy. I want Teddy to stay, but if he goes I will understand it. Hopefully the team looks into drafting a QB in the draft. I am a big...

Re: 2018 Offseason Thread
- The biggest issue this offseason will be QB: It will dictate the entire offseason direction - I think offensive line is still a priority (or it should be). - 3-tech is a priority. I would love a dominate player here. - Still not sure I like our linebacking depth. I wouldn't mind upgrading the Will...

Re: NFC Championship Reaction Thread
It only took 18 games, but the real Minnesota Vikings finally showed up in heartbreaking fashion! Unfortunately, Minnesota had everything aligned for them and they simply failed to show-up. They blew the best chance they had at a Super Bowl. I am not upset or angry. Just some disappointment. N...
