I like the pick up.
He's a role player, but I saw him on the field for Denver on third down. I think he's here to provide backup for McKinnon. I don't think he'll challenge him to start, but he might have been the best insurance policy out there.

Re: Thoughts Week 1
I am not. Again, people arent reading the discussion and just burying their head at the first sounds of an AP complaint. I'm not burying my head. I just plain disagree with you. I think AP missed one hole yesterday. The rest of the time he spent running into the line with someone in his grill. I do...

Bridgewater's knee injury is very upsetting.
Zim said it was "significant." It doesn't sound like it very likely he will return this season.

Necessary? No.
But a fitting way for him to end his career.

Re: The Teddy Bridgewater Thread
I think giving him a 2 on that scale at this point of his career is fair. A 3 maybe the most likely point of his ceiling. I'm still hoping he can climb to a 4 after some seasoning. His pocket presence, the way he generally keeps his eyes downfield, even temperament and his football acronym give me h...

Re: Vikings-Cardinals final play thoughts
It was a combination of two very bad things occurring: The wrong play call in the situation (slow-developing routes?) and Bridgewater not making the right decision to throw the ball away sooner. The bigger crime of the two is the play call, because it doesn't put the young QB in the best position to...

Re: Thoughts about the debacle
There were several pivotal moments and themes in this game: — The Newman pass interference penalty was a huge mistake. They force a punt on that series, it may have been a different game. — The defense still needs to shore up on run defense. — After driving for a TD to close within six at 19-13, the...

Re: Week 11 Predictions: Vikings vs Packers
A wounded, desperate (but talented) divisional opponent coming off a bad upset. Yeah, this has the makings of a very tough game.
How many times in my 52 years have I seen a spiraling team right itself against the Vikings? Too many friggin times.
Not this time ... (I hope).

I read this earlier and was impressed that of all the nice things that were said about the purple, the writer portrayed the Vikings' weaknesses accurately.

Re: AD2K 2.0?
Something clicked for AP in the Bears game. He's a different runner than he was the first six games. Decisive, explosive, hitting the hole like a Mack truck. Now today he added the explosive long run. 2,000 yards? Two weeks ago, I said no way. I still don't know how likely it is, but this season's ...

"Norm!"
That's funny! Obviously, I know his name ... but I wonder where that slip came from?

Re: Do we overrate Teddy Bridgewaters Offensive Weapons?
I disagree with the statement Norm Turner hasn't changed his tactics as the season has progressed. He's using Peterson more out of the I, using double and triple TE sets in the power run and bringing in extra TEs to help Clemons in pass protection more often than not. They are working with two thing...

Re: Your 1st place Minnesota Vikings!
Worrying about who has the tiebreakers after eight games played is pointless. The exciting part of this is having the opportunity of playing meaningful games from this point forward, sitting at 6-2. Especially after that Week 1 debacle. Hopefully Teddy is healthy for these meaningful games. If anyth...

With the routes he runs, I wonder if he's playing through a head injury.DK Sweets wrote:CP is the only player who appears to be 100% right now.

Re: Week 4 Predictions: Vikings at Broncos
The game plan against the Vikings remains the same: stop Peterson and force Teddy to win the game. Norm looks like he's more than willing to adapt up his style of play to fit his parts, as they have been running out of an I or single back-I more and less out of the pistol or shotgun. If it turns out...
