Vikings Injury Report for Buffalo Game

Questionable: RB Mike Boone (groin) Doubtful: None Out: DE Everson Griffen (knee) RB Dalvin Cook (hamstring) TE David Morgan (knee) CB Marcus Sherels (ribs) Have to wonder (read: hope) whether some of these guys are being held out on Sunday for precautionary measures given they are 17-point favorite...

Re: Where is the Elite Defense?

My concerns: 1. Way too many missed tackles -- including a number of open field complete whiffs. Unacceptable. Harrison should run daily clinics for his teammates on proper technique. 2. Too much cushion given to receivers. How many times have we seen opposing receivers WIDE open this season? Even t...

Re: Viking QB Options 2018: Tracker

The thing is, Cousins hasn’t really elevated the team yet. 18th in offensive points per drive (1.8), 13th in yards (32.12) compared to 8th (2.11) and 8th (32.73) in 2017. The offense should be better this year, our RBs are better and Cousins is a better passer than Case will ever be, there just isn...

Re: Viking QB Options 2018: Tracker

I would expect Cousins to throw for more TDs and yards with the weapons he has. DT and Sanders aren't exactly slouches, but the Vikings are significantly better on offense outside of the QB spot. In other words, pure production won't be the deciding factor on whether Cousins was worth the 10 millio...

Re: Viking QB Options 2018: Tracker

Teddy will probably end up making Vikings fans very sad when he wins a couple of SBs with NOs, but I understand not wanting to take a risk on him. Zimmer and Rick's jobs were on the line and they went with the sure thing over the high risk, high reward Teddy Bridgewater. Teddy is under contract for...

Re: Good game Viking fans

What cracks me up is I'm pretty sure my brother and I sat at a booth near your table at Manny's Steakhouse after the New Orleans game in January. Y'all were the ones that started the SKOL chant, IIRC. Cool post. We had a great back and forth with Saints fans that day. Respectful, always. LOL. You a...

Viking QB Options 2018: Tracker

Coming into this season, the Vikings primary QB options were Bradford, Keenum, Bridgewater, and Cousins (possibility they could have made a run at Brees, but seems unrealistic). Here is how they stack up after two games each: Player.............Age......Salary.....Years....Comp.....Att.....PCT.....Y...

Re: Inside Laquon Treadwell's Redemption Tour

He's 6'1. 74 inches If you want to be exact. It was his weight and arm length that made him a big sized target. https://www.mockdraftable.com/player/laquon-treadwell Fair enough, but I think his weight and height reported elsewhere are exaggerated. Arm length and hand size may be accurately reporte...

Re: Good game Viking fans

I was at Lambeau with my 15-year-old son for the second year in a row. We were sitting on the Packers side of the field on the 50 yard line (I mention that only because we were mostly among Packers fans -- the Vikings side of the field had a significantly higher percentage of Vikings fans). I was we...

Re: The Kicker...AGAIN! *Update* Vikings Just signed Bailey

Well, Auburn had 3 blocked kicks in 2017. Two against Texas A&M, and one against UGA. They had some special teams issues late in the season. Tack those three back on, or remove them from the overall attempts, and you're looking at 82-83% depending on which way you lean. Exactly. And three of his fi...

Re: The Kicker...AGAIN! *Update* Vikings Just signed Bailey

We traded up to draft a kicker who was inaccurate in college Umm. Really? Do you have any idea what you are talking about? Carlson was 198-198 (100%) on XPs in his college career and 92-114 on FGs (80.7%) (his percentage is No. 5 all time in SEC history). He was a 3-time Lou Groza award finalist, i...

Re: Vikings @ Packers Pregame Thread

Anyone else think it's funny that Aaron Rodgers happened to get injured and make his dramatic comeback on the opening weekend with the lowest ratings in years? All of the theatrics of carting him off, to reports that he walked to the locker room as soon as the cart was out of view, to Al Michael's ...

Re: Vikings Vs. Packers Postgame Thread

If he would have actually caught those balls we'd be talking about how awesome Treadwell is and how he really turned the corner. He was getting open, he caught a TD, he put on a great block to open up a big play. I know what ifs don't count for a lot but that's just to say that I do think he's clos...

Re: The Kicker...AGAIN! *Update* Vikings Just signed Bailey

Carlson needs to find a good sports psychiatrist to help him get his confidence back or his two-game NFL career is already over.
